Another one down! My fellow Americans, we are winning the long battle.
Stauton VA is another on the list of cancelling Flock contracts and getting AI surveilance cameras out of their city and allowing the people to "get a breath of fresh air without us knowing".
There is still hope and still good in people realizing this is transforming the nation into another CCP or N Korea state. The trial for the Instutite for Justice v. City of Norfolk Va is imminent. There is a way out of this hell.

The problem there is that's not for you to decide, it's for me to decide. Forcing it into machines, on by default, not warning the user, obfuscating it as much as possible and making the user have to look up guides and fight their own computer at length just to turn this shit off because you know full well they'd never choose to have it, is all the reason needed to be firmly against it.

Microsoft is legally obligated to scan for CP for anything that uses its service, even something "fully offline" probably touches your microsoft account at some point. even "privacy conscious" Apple was going to do cp scanning until someone showed how easy it was to spoof

I like being able to customize the browser and re-arrange everything, and I like that it has a functional, classic user interface that isn't dumbed down like Chrome and other browsers trying to be like Chrome like Firefox lately. You can even get it to look like Netscape if you want.

Its lack of Rust code, being lightweight and easy on memory, and relatively simple codebase compared to Chrome makes it ideal for backporting to older systems. Arctic Fox is based on Pale Moon and runs on old versions of Mac OS X. roytam1's New Moon runs on Windows XP and Windows 2000 via KernelEx. I'm pretty sure it can also run on Windows 98/Me via KernelEx but this would require installing a series of KernelEx extensions, C++ Redistributable 2008, DLL's from Windows XP, and editing the config file to point to XP DLL's. I haven't got New Moon to run on Windows Me yet but that's something I want to try eventually.

Remember how people always said Windows dominates the PC market because practically every new PC comes with it preinstalled? In India many people buy last-generation used PCs, and online sellers often preinstall those with Ubuntu because they don't have to dick around with Windows editions and matching the license that the machine originally came with or risk being raided by Microsoft. Normies make up the majority of users, and they will just use whatever OS their computer comes with.

What I believe is an effective strategy is as follows:
-The useful people should leave USA and join a competitor state and help build it up
-The useless people should stay here & do what they always do
This will likely take generations & you are unlikely to see the fruits in your lifetime.

I havent seen any better plans that put forward; they mostly rely on delusional hope.
>>
>>107731236
Good thing ASI won’t see us for batteries. It will just build its own better batteries, and even if organic material found in humans is the best battery in the universe there is no reason for them to just not use some tumour blob of cells instead of a human with brain, skeleton and limbs.
>>107734813
>>107734891
AI won’t need slaves, it will need resources and land, your food can be burned for energy, your land can be paved over with solar panels for more energy, your items contain elements that can be used for processing units.
>>107733045
This is the only correct solution, unfortunately we are not on track to do so. Our leaders are relying increasingly on AI for decisions and wars are being fought by Palentir AI systems like Gotham that allow generals to vibe-order. Israeli targeted strikes supposedly are done with this AI and IDF commanders supposedly only check those strikes for less then 20 seconds. We are giving more and more of our decision making to AIs because they sometimes give us better decisions, and that is while we still have hallucination problems.
