Artificial leather disintegrates after some time. Sometimes it lasts less than a year, sometimes 5+, depends on quality. If you want maximum longevity, you're better off going for velour, gel + fabric, or real leather.

A game engine, reduced to the most fundamentals, is
>input processing code
>graphics rendering code
>an update loop that takes user input, runs pluggable game logic, and renders the graphics
Start with this and then you can add features.
Many simpler game engines focus a specific type or subset of game and provide a lot of utilities for making things easier. E.g. RPG Maker only allows you to make 2D sprite-based RPGs, but provide a very featureful framework for making your RPG work, with built-in logic for typical RPG UIs, battles, dialogue, NPCs and 2D world movement, etc. etc. Factorio is arguably a game engine where you can define a very specific type of factory game (the official Factorio game is internally basically a set of data files for the engine in exactly the same format as you'd write for a mod, it's even called "Base mod" internally).
That doesn't mean you have to make a purpose-built or 2D-only game engine, but if you can provide special logic to make a specific type of game easier to build, it'll be a differentiating factor. Plus if you want to make your own game, it only makes sense to tailor your engine to make your own job easier.
If you're trying to make a very generic engine you're basically competing with Unity or Unreal and the like.

It's 100% the ISPs fault, I've been on this contract for almost a year now and never had issues in the past. Hardware is the same as always (TP-Link Archer BE550 that goes into a 2.5gbps switch, both my pc and nas have a 2.5G port). I know they were unhappy when I asked them if I could use my own router instead of their shitty one (which had only 1G LAN ports) as "there's no guarantee it'll work", and they didn't want for me to fully use my 2gbps connection
Man I hate the UK

But how do you handle music? How do you handle other stuff like that? Is there a good book or resource that I can start to look into how to understand the architecture of a game engine software and where can i learn the fundamentals concepts that goes into one?
Given, I don't really want to make a full game, I just want this to be a good programming project that I can develop on the side to get better at programming, the end goal would have a fully build and function game, maybe that be pong or something like that I don't really mind or care.

NASA is just a gay military front, and has been almost since it's inception. Retards braying about NASA funding cuts never seem to realize that most shuttle missions had some sort of glownigger payload, and fully exclude the possibility that it's simply the elimination of redundant programs running independently and concurrently across military and "civilian" space programs.
>Inb4 muh moon landing wasn't military
For sure it was. If we can launch what was essentially an ICBM with a detachable bus and land that detachable bus on the fucking moon, we could 100% fill that detachable bus full of nuclear warheads and drop it on Moscow. Look up when we started to MIRV ICBMs and compare that to the timeline for the Apollo Program.

PREDICTION

This year we will see prebuilt manufacturers start selling prebuilt machines with Linux pre installed even to normies.

There is no point to keep shelling out money to Microsoft for licensing, so this will be an aspect of shrinkflation.
>>
>>107741448
Retard, Microsoft pays OEMs to preinstall Windows, not the other way around. MS makes too much money selling your data to care about whether someone pays $10 for the license key.
>>
>>107741480
He said prebuilt not OEM.
>>
Asus tried that in 2007 with the eee pcs. We had WalMart selling "Lindows" PCs back in 2003. We have multiple Linux companies like System76, Slimbook, Pine64 and Librem.
>>
>>107742245
I think 2026 is a way better time to try to sell Linux laptops than 2003 or 2007.
First, Linux is easier than ever for beginners and people who know only Windows, especially Mint. Hardware support is a lot better too. WINE got better too.
And there is the price of the hardware needed to run the thing. Windows 11 is an incredibly heavy fatass, it runs like shit on <$1000 laptops, while Linux runs fine on $400 weak laptops. This will get worse with the ram and ssd prices going crazy.

Addicted gaymers need a monitor to attach to their secondary (superior) GPU, and an external keyboard and mouse (ones not for dom0), to play games in a performant manner on Qubes OS.
>>
>>107738545
it's for the Brown Man actually.
>>
>>107742968
I have 192GB DDR5 RAM in this here Thinkpad P16 Gen 2. I have over 40 qubes running right now simultaneously. My operations are very heavily isolated, for example this communique is being sent over Tor from an independent chain of proxies and firewalls specifically for this browser window.
>>
>>107743607
>PVH qubes don't use QEMU. Also KVM is not used in QubesOS at all. QEMU is used for stub device domains for HVM qubes or sys-usb / sys-network / other pci device qubes (which are all HVM
I see, I didn't know/remember that (I haven't used Qubes in about a decade).
still, you have multiple points where your data passes through. doesn't mean you can easily obtain data or compromise everything, but the attack area is not small.

>that's up to you as a user to compartmentalize your system according to your threat model
sure, but the Qubes team could do a lot more, like ship hardened VMs or ways to automate the hardening mitigation measures on install.
that's one of the main criticisms against Qubes. isolation on itself does little, and does even less when you don't harden shit...

>the only connection is Xen backend drivers and yes they're included in the TCB.
notifications and command messaging are also communications. do you think there can't be vulns there?

>I don't know what that even is. I think you're just making shit up.
router* AppVM, sys-net.

>>107743163
Using Qubes without taking advantage of its compartmentalization feature is just retarded. Qubes have passwordless sudo and are relatively unhardened by default compared to a standard Linux installation, so doing everything in one Qube can actually be worse than just using typical Linux from a security standpoint. If you're not compartmentalizing, then you're doing Qubes wrong. At the very least, you should keep your passwords stored in an offline vault instead of keeping them in an AppVM which connects to the internet.

1. equivalent of xte,
2. way for programs to position their own windows,
3. way for programs to register global hotkeys,
4. equivalent of xrandr,
5. equivalent of setxkbmap?
>>
Wayland is so bad that Valve put all their time and money into it!
>>

>no such thing in Wayland
Good enough for me, the rest of them will be integrated soon.
>>
no one is pretending wayland is perfect, but xniggers can't admit xorg is dogshit
>>
I'll just explain why I switched back to X yesterday. I use i3 on X, so I tried hyprland on wayland for the past few months. It was mostly ok, but when I switch my monitor input to my laptop anything that wasn't using xwayland would crash. So, back to i3. I looked at xlibre, but it wasn't easy enough to set up and I have other shit to do (post on 4chan).

Xinuos (deadname SCO) has two Unixes they stlll sell, Unixware and OpenServer. They apparently have the same kernel but different syscalls implemented via different personalities, the former apparently more SVR3 and the latter more SVR4 flavored (technically they branded it as SVR5 but it's the only fruit from that tree so not a very useful descriptor). Also some different administrative tools apparently.
>>
>>107743508

It really isn't a real computer. You can't install a real os. You can't run a real development toolchain like gcc etc. You're locked into apple's bullshit and whatever limited set of commercial toy "apps" they've graciously allowed you to run on their appliance that you've leased from them for a one time fee.
>>
1. This thing has a web broswer which probably supports wasm
2. You can run https://copy.sh/v86/ in a web browser
3. From 1 and 2 it follows that this machine is at least as capable as an old PC
4. Old PC is usable for writing software if your code and your tools are fast
5. From 3 and 4 it follows that this machine is perfectly usable for programming

How do you bypass the age verification videos?

I got back into dabbing so I just need to watch a few jewtube videos since they have a monopoly on all online videos but of course they make them all 18+ and its impossible to make a joogle acct these days. I avoid joogle at all costs Im very satisfied with my results even tho I still (rarely) watch jewtube sometimes. Theres just too much on jewtube

You cannot make joogle acct without giving them phone number/dob/ssn/birth certificate so they can track you everywhere. I need spare burner phone or something just to watch dabs on jewtube
