What web browser do you use and why?I use Floorp because I've always had a fuckton of tabs (my record is more than 1157 consecutive tabs) and the browser lets me organize tabs in ways that are useful for me, and I haven't found another browser with better tab organization. It also lets you use firefox extensions and recently added support for chrome extensions, I don't know how that's possible, but I have no use for chrome extensions so it seems superfluous
are you just lazy asf or there's a reason you had over a thousand tabs ffs ???
>>107620022does floorp even have workspaces yet

>>107620735it was missing something, maybe it was grouped tabs? i swapped to vivaldi
>>107620805Nah there's tab groups in floorp too, you right click a tab and click "add tab to group" or if there's no groups it'll say "new group" or something

Dumb people are going to be dumb.I have an acquaintance who I've gotten into two AI arguments with. She's a firm anti AI person, despite never having used it. She tried to tell me how AI works, even though I've literally made machine learning programs before, and also tried to tell me that it's "SLAVE LABOR!" But in the same breath she also says "AI is just a word guesser."I kept trying to calmly explain to her how AI actually works, but she called me a "techno machine God worshipper". I left after that.Dumb people are going to be dumb. It's really too bad everyone has an equal voice on the internet. It gives these dumbasses way too much weight.

>>107620662Its for my personal fun, the lack of grace period is the whole point of it. I want to trap as many rich liars as humanly possible. If they are a dozen, i will trap a dozen. If there are a million, i will trap a million. If its the whole planet, its now a prison planet. If we are talking about reality, no matter what the law is, they can just bribe their way out of it. The laws are largely irrelevant so who cares even if theres no grace period? The laws only work in magical fantasy

if i ever start a company i will institute a policy that if you're ever taken by a pang of inspiration you have a day to explain it and if it's sufficiently crazed you get a paid week of normal work hours and all company assets that aren't already consumed to do whatever the fuck you want. that shit isn't screwed in or nailed down? it's yours. just make it work nigga. i dont even know what 'it' is. but it's definitely gonna be something cool or maybe even USEFUL if you're getting this bent out of shapte about it
>>107619294starting a cultonly rules are>if it works don't fuck with it>if it doesn't work you are morally obligated to fuck with it once and only once (or for one meaningful session)>once you've fucked with it, if it continues to not work you are morally obligated to find someone more competent who you believe, in good faith, can fuck with it and make it work (even if they don't, your moral responsibility ends at finding that contact)>if it doesnt work even then, whatever, you tried>if it starts to work after your fucking with it or finding a contact to fuck with it, stop>if your fucking with it was unsuccessful, including finding a contact that might be successful, you are not to fuck with it any more, you are actively barred from fucking with it>if you fuck with something and break it, it's fine, but if you fuck with it after that and break the same thing a second time even if in an unrelated way you are now The Enemy

>The converging evidence across behavioral, academic, and neurobiological domains suggests that heavy TikTok and short-form video consumption correlates with measurable attention deficits, academic underperformance, and neurobiological alterations in users. These findings extend beyond isolated symptoms to show a pattern where platforms exploit developmental vulnerabilities through dopaminergic reward mechanisms, creating users who increasingly require constant stimulation while losing capacity for sustained cognitive engagement. The documented academic consequences, including lower GPAs, increased procrastination, and inability to engage with complex materials, suggest manifestations of deeper cognitive changes that could influence developmental trajectories, although further longitudinal research is needed. Individual differences in susceptibility, particularly among those with addiction tendencies versus those with higher boredom proneness, suggest that universal approaches to managing these platforms may be less effective than targeted interventions based on risk profiles.
>>107620262>The consequences of short form media consumption and declining attention spans require careful consideration by educators, mental health professionals, and families navigating an increasingly fragmented digital world. Educational institutions face the problem of whether to adapt pedagogical approaches to accommodate shortened attention spans or actively work to rebuild students' capacity for sustained focus through attention management training and technology-free periods. Mental health professionals must develop assessment protocols distinguishing between technology-induced attention difficulties and underlying neurodevelopmental conditions, while addressing the addiction-like patterns some users display. As these platforms continue evolving to maximize engagement, the evidence suggests we are witnessing not merely a temporary cultural shift but potentially lasting alterations to cognitive functioning during critical developmental windows. The question remains whether the creative and social benefits of these platforms justify the mounting cognitive costs to a generation whose ability to sustain attention may determine their capacity to navigate an increasingly complex world.

>make system for game>can set timelines to play things in sequentially or async>loads timelines from json so I can update the whole system during runtimeThis part was great. But its niggerlicious because now in order to change from one menu to another I have to:>connect button to code in user interface>on click signals the game that the menus need to change>game gets the timeline manager from its services list>loads the correct timeline and plays itWhy is it niggerlicious? Because now I've moved on from sending nice IDs and explicitly telling my game what to do, to loading all of my information from a json file and its a ballache to work with.

I work at a hospital there are so many items that cost like 15k that do most simplest tasks. For example this pill counter which uses computer vision of some sort to count pills costs literally 2k to 10k.Can any anons tell me how they're getting away with such outsourcing price gouging
>>107620727Don't know what shithole you live in but I usually go to the ED/ER of the second best hospital in my country, the wait time is usually 10-15min. That's when you go yourself and not with an ambulance, then it's instant (and still free!).
>>107620711Keep telling yourself this. One day it may become true.I know, have you tried shouting "murrica!" louder? That normally works.BTW. Brits went extinct circa 61AD when Boudaccia united the normally warring celtic tribes (even more impressive, when you consider the romans had actually given up trying to conquer the iceni, and just hired them to fight for them, so they had just thrashed the people they was asking for help) to go off and fight the romans. They didn't come back. The following systematic erradication of the duids that held the stories and culture, combined with the campaign of genetic dilution that removed all cletlic markers from the current gene pool meant that when the romans went home the celtic tribes *couldn't* reform.Along came the many kings of: England
