is a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB ram really worth $180? why the fuck are they so expensive even before this current ram scam
>>
no, just get a 6th gen i7 micro off of ebay for the same price
cute pic
>>
>>107588312
It could have 16GB of RAM and it would still be a piece of shit because the CPU is on par with like a $50 intel pentium at best.
>>
>>107588312
No, don't buy from price gaugers. This shit is not acceptable and I'd b happy if they all went out of business. Fast food pricing should not be a business model for extracting resources from the goyim.

Theme: Outer Space Music
Title: [Accepting suggestions]
Deadline: 7th of January [revised from late December]

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

cant make this sound cleaner, i've compressed everything with kick input, and compressed when vocals briefly kick in, but i think it sounds messy all around

i have zero experience in mastering, just ear-balling lol

there is no excessive reverb, basically no send reverb

what can i do not to drown everything in bass and ambient sounds?
>>
>>107586087
Sometimes it just comes down to sound selection, percussion included
for me when things start feeling hopelessly messy to me, it's back to the drawing board with sound selection or composition.
you say messy, well in relation to what? Listen to the 'what', and make what you're doing closer to it

i realize that OpenBSD is probably the most secure by default, but it's quite slow

using a distro like ubuntu/debian/mint will give you a lot of headaches with things not working properly or major breakage when doing big updates. i recommend using something more stable like arch or something based on it. everyone i know who has constant problems with linux use those distros

Local LLMs are trash compared to local image gen models, and it's better to just pay for cheap cloud LLM services like DeepSeek in OpenRouter rather than run subpar models locally.

Jannies already out of a job. They even have small rumba styled robots to clean your panels for you.
>>
>>107588275
You normally don't have to unless you live is very dusty or dirty areas. I think it also depends on what kind of windows you have too. I had recently replaced all of my windows in my 20+ year old home to ones that are tented and block out heat. They're the ones you normally see in any government buildings or various occupations like that pic you were relying too. Basically windows where you can't see the inside much during the daytime.

They're nice but flying bugs had a habit of slamming into them all day since all this see is the reflection. I never had this problem with my old windows. It sounds like someone is constantly throwing small clumps of mud at your window. Seriously they hit my windows so hard I'm scared they're going to crack it at some point. That's why I can see why some people need to regularly clean them. Also things like smog tends to travel upward for those really tall buildings.

There's always some loss but power you produce that goes to your neighbors will get less line loss than either sending the same amount from the power plant to your neighbors, or using your excess power to charge a battery and use it later.

Do software engineering AI positions need to grind Leetcode? I am wondering if it is worth learning AI to get into AI industry, or focusing on investments. Made like $200k this year on my investments, which will only be subject to long-term capital gains tax of 15%. I just don't want to grind Leetcode lottery again to work in a job where I will be prompting AI chatbot anyway. My current job is comfy WFH, but mid-range industry pay and slow promotions.
