I'm using this thread since it's a distrofag threadWtf is this shit? I type my first command in OpenMandriva and it gives me some corny-ass thousand layers of "respect other ppl uwu" line like I'm signing up for a forum when I'm just trying to get things updated. Why do "we" need to "trust" that I'm receiving anything? Do these tards think sudo is some hackerman tool or that anyone who is fucking with someone else's computer will care about a passive-aggressive nag in the shell?Wasn't this supposed to be the "just software no bullshit" distro?

There will be a point where they ask the public to buy and user their products right? But what will that be? A phone? Some AI companion robot thing? The way most companies make money make money is to sell stuff, good or services. So what are they going to sell? And to who? What is all this for what's the end goal?
>>107539211>There will be a point where they ask the public to buy and user their products right? There won't, everyone in the field is well aware that it's a gigantic bubble with few actual use cases. Right now they are milking as much money as possible out off investors and the government and when the bubble pops they will still have enough money to finance their lives for eternity. I don't know how people can not see the obvious exit scheme here.
>>107539211>The way most companies make money make money is to sell stuff, good or services. So what are they going to sell? And to who?Capitalism is a lie you swallowed whole. Money is a literal fabrication some people are not beholden to. They don't need to sell you anything. They own you. They own every single penny you think you have through public debt. They have stakes in every essential service you depend on. They could make you and everyone you love kill and eat yourselves over scraps tomorrow by just flicking a switch. If this is anything other than "fiscal engineering", it's probably a state surveillance tool.

how do i achieve this (firefox)? googling didn't give clear answers
I don't know what this is reference to. This is what LLMs are for retardo. It's a stupid question that requires 0 human input. It can coach you through your retardation.
I created this. Glad you liked. It's essentially a custom extension + userchrome css to hide the actual speed control + rearrange the context menu order (those two are sorta of a pain in the ass to configure because ff doesn't offer users a easy/simpler way to change those, so. I essentially create a CSS file with all context menu entries, and use {order:} CSS propriety to set them in the order I wish). If you just want the speed context menu entry, it's quite simple, just install this extension. But this will only create an speed context menu on the bottom of context menu.https://www.mediafire.com/file/9c9cs3tqwayf3jo/media-speed-controller@gemini-cli.dev.xpi/file.Oh, also, you will need to enable some about:config option to allow installing non signed extensions, because Mozilla is all gay and forces this shit.
>>107545531>Oh, also, you will need to enable some about:config option to allow installing non signed extensionsdoes that work on regular firefox or do you need the developer edition?also, it sounds like too much work, i think i'll just use a regular extension. It looked really nice so i thought you could create it in a more streamlined way. Thanks anyway!

Bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max after 10 whole years of being an Android power userMy final veredict is that Android simply cannot compare
the 16's better imo. that camera 'plateau' is so weird.definitely agree though, ios feels a whole lot better put-together than android does. I don't like not having a good youtube app, but to be honest less time on youtube is better.
>>107546870>until you notice you cant do this thing you want because apple wont allow itGoogle does the same thing, and google is about to close the door on side loading apps, making android the closed walled garden Apple store is, just look at either Apple's or Google's stores and they are both full of data mining spamware that wants to turn your phone into a advertising platform, I am done with this shit from both Apple or Google, and going to find a Linux powered portable handheld computer so I don't have to have my software dictated by an amoral corporation looking to monetize everything I do on my personal electronics
>>107547570holy projection epstein
>>107546870you can do literally everything an android phone can do. even sideloading apps from 3rd parties (which google will soon restrict)
>>107547656They wont its fake news you all fall for because it brings them money>>107547845You can't tho. I have a 16 pro max and s25 ultra in hand. On iOS you can't run winlator, you can't change icon theme without having to edit every single one manually and then you will lose the notification number symbol as well. Sideloading is good when it works but you are limited to 5 apps and have to refresh it once a week to not lose all your apps. Every single 4chan client sucks and requires so much work to get going. You don't have seperate volume but all in one which is terrible design. The whole new iOS26 design is so ugly and you are stuck with it. Look at the notification panel. Wtf is that?

Besides the trans memes, is Rust a good replacement for C++?>But transI don't care about pol shit if the tool is good.
>>107538179Yes, but a lot of what you'd find the STL, you're stuck with yet another dependency or reinventing. In that sense, it's a better C++ but it's intended to give you as little standard library as C.
>>107544274Rust is available on esp32, stm32, raspberry pi and and other popular platforms. Personally I am also considering becoming rust embedded dev.>Many there advice at least learning CYou should learn C regardless of what you do in Rust. It's the foundation of systems programming.

The best and brightest C programmers agree: Rust belongs in the Linux kernel!https://lwn.net/Articles/1049831/This board tries it's best to portray C and Rust as polar opposites, but in the end they serve the same purpose. Good C programmers have always respected Rust programmers and vice versa. Only the fizzbuzzers and jeets want a language war between C and Rust. Why do they want it? Because if you split the systems language ecosystem, there will be less competition to their electron/react garbage (see Windows 11 start menu)Everyone except Indians agrees that anything written in Rust or C is much better than electron garbage. That is why it is important to be friends and allies, not enemies
