Be honest anon, do you actually use the Home Row for touch typing how it was caught in school? Or do you just kind of get a feel for your keyboard and get good at correcting typos really fast like me? Do you think learning to Touch Type properly is worth it?
>>107555255Take the test this guy posted>>107553895I call bullshit on anyone claiming they can type that fast with just two fingers, it likely varies by the test you take, this test includes capitals and a lot of punctuation

Almost done with my CompSci Bachelor's (just my thesis remaining) and gonna enter my master's afterwards. Also working as a tutor at uni on top and some costudents think I'm smart. Despite that, I don't know SHIT about tech or software or anything related. I wouldn't even know where to start. Ask me anything if you think this is just imposter syndrome speaking, I'll try my best to give accurate answers.

>>107552339>and gonna enter my master's afterwardsI was going to ask how good your grades are, but since you're planning to do a master's after, they're probably good enough.I assume you're doing fine.In college, you learn "how to learn". As well as some general basics that will make it easier to learn more of your field in the future. You don't really learn what you need for a job.>Do you know what a hash is?>Do you know how a for loop works?>Do you have an approximate understanding of the fact that "your CPU has little building blocks in it that sum / multiply numbers on a bit level"?>Do you know what an object or class is?>Have you tried using a pointer before? Pointers are kinda hard to "get", but you should at least approximately know what it is>Do you know that "information" is stored inside of data, and it's actually possible to somehow calculate how much "information" is inside of something, and how dense the information is? You don't need to be able to calculate it, just know about the fact that it exists>Do you know that wifi routers send electromagnetic wavesThese are the kinds of "basics" you actually should have in your head after a bachelor's. If you got decent grades on top of that, you're good.Just need to convince someone to actually hire you after college, so you can start collecting REAL work experience. For that, read "cracking the coding interview", you can find it for free online and it's /g/ approved

4 years ago Mental Outlaw made a video about Surf and how based it was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9xK44imGVcRecently, (past few months) I tried using it serious. Making wrappers that auto open common webpages with Surf, in example yt_mentaloutlaw is a /.local/bin wrapper on my machine that opens Kennys YT page. Another wrapper that I made list common websites in a basic html list- duckduckgo, startpage, deepseek, wikipedia, soundcloud, grok, /g/, wcofun, wikimedia, h ytmnd, GIMP forum, flathub ect... work good on Surf and I use those websites commonly. But problems exist, I can't select the url to get it on the clipboard, and unrelated I have to manually click "copy" to copy normal text to the clipboard. There is no history list, It saves all media I download in /home/username and websites I visit often like archive.org shit the bed because I can't access way back machines 1996-2025 chart. But the rest of archive.org may works fine. X.com goes painfully slow and clunky after browsing for a few minutes, and it usually has randomlly crashes if I open a new tab, I have to copy link and run `sf website name` to prevent that. Here are my surf wrapper settings that launch with `sf`surf -z 1.3 "$@"Share your experiences with the surf web browser. I tried to do it to make Kenny happy - its usuable some places, but not ideal and apparently may use more RAM then Brave in some cases. Also just forget about bookmarks and use iconified wrappers.

Also please stop using Grok to prove your point, it's an AI model not a god, it will reply with whatever seems looks good based on what it was trained on and since it's musk's child it will be more in favor of the government's decisions than against it the more he manipulates its sources.as for me, im thinking of getting back to college to get a degree and maybe a better job down the line. My boyfriend tells me I could retire and be a stay-at-home because he got a promotion but i dont want to be lazy or be a burden to him.
