You can block most of both at the DNS level. Try setting this as your "Private DNS" server on Android:
family.adguard-dns.com

If you just want to block ads (and not porn), replace family with dns

So I switched from uBlock Origin Lite to AdGuard Adblocker and went from about 30,000 rules to about 280,000 rules so definitely getting better coverage over here. MegaUp timers are being skipped correctly too.

How do we fix KDE? I used to donate 100 bucks every December but stopped after Nate started working directly under Valve and de-prioritizing anything Valve doesn't need.

>Have you seen the absolute state of fucking Steam on Linux?
Seems quite good from my experience for over 2 years.
Steam is one of the few things I can say has never given me any trouble.
>>
>>107692598
Valve had a contract with blue systems, a useless company that employed kde devs, for plasma development.
KDE devs wanted all the money so they made techpaladin and invited only a handful to join and got the contract (business is located in the US). KDE neon guy wasn't invited and wrote a blog post about Nate wanting to be a CEO even though they all did the same amount of work. Valve pays them millions and plasma still krashes... Why doesn't valve just develop an in house DE and use kwin as a base since that's the list krashy component
>>
>>107692625
What?

Resizing windows is worse than any other electron apps
granted it's not linux their chat almost never fucking works properly (especially images)
their friends windows just bugs out sometimes it just doesn't pop-up
in-game steam is laggy as all hell,
their VR stack is pig disgusting crashes non stop, when I launch VR Home or whatever the fuck, it freezes, then starts when I "kill -9" steam ????
the list goes on and on...

I want to buy a steam deck just to test drive and dissect it to see what they're doing if it doesn't crash/lag.
I have the most vanilla setup ever no tinker tranny bullshit.

Installed this bad boy today locally on my laptop (i dont care about network wide adblocking), it's better than simply putting the public servers on control panel because i have this dashboard where i can view statistics and easily block sites with a toggle switch.

I don't get all the hate this post is getting. Like obviously if someone can demand that you abide by a specific license to use something then they have some sort of special (intellectual) property rights over that thing? Otherwise what authority do they have to make the demand in the first place?

True. The Burgers in this thread should take a pause and consider:
Even though it has absolutely no concrete military might to speak of, the Netherlands is basically the ONLY country in the world which can tell the US "no" and have that result in the US reconsidering, to only then come crawling back with "ok, but what if we sweeten the pot?"

Threats don't work on the Netherlands, because they're perfectly aware of the key position they're in, holding export control over ASML, as well as holding control over the Rotterdam port - which is basically *THE* entrypoint to mainland Europe bar none for consumer good and heavy industry imports, as well as one of the few places in the world offering oil refining services that can directly service US-bound super-tankers.

Basically, if the US manages to piss off the Netherlands to a degree that they're going to cut ties, that will instantly mean no more chip fab exports (incl. servicing of existing equipment) to the US, and no more oil refining. It would KILL THE US ECONOMY DEAD.

Eh, I stopped using Forge for close to 6 months. It had a weird bug where if I used certain weights for Loras, the image would go full on schizo. Probably faulty floating point math. Also, the resource usage was really weird. Shit getting reloaded without necessity all the time.
Comfy can be a bit of a slow start setting up, but once you're done, you don't look back. Sensible, predictable VRAM usage, no serious bugs, but one thing: use an older version. I'm still using one from 01/08/25; the newer ones had inexplicably higher CPU usage and my PC became unbearably noisy as a result.

What went wrong?

What are some contraptions/technologies that actually embody the line "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
And I don't mean "AI bad because I disagree with it".
