Actually I'd like lower power consumption.
Maybe some arm with clusterfuck of a setup would be better? Or do they have intelME alternative of their own?

You don't know how much an upgrade in system usability is the jump from 2 to 4 cores. Modern OS and software lose their shit with less than 4 cores.
>>
>>108536698
Not true. 1-2 is a very big difference indeed.
But 2 cores with HT is fine

The fix is to use a theme that is not only backwards compatible to whichever engine you choose to use, but also uses the current thing and supports the next thing.
For me the fix has always been to install GTK2/3/4.
Good luck.

>to bribe corrupt judges and punish the people who don't pay him
They don't need to bribe any judges, they're either extremely retarded and politically aligned by themselves or are fanatics of what's being sued and have the ruling done before even hearing the accused parties.
Let's be real, no judging system is perfect, for example, if you're right wing and get a jury trial for some right wing related shit on an extremely leftist city, you're sentenced without even starting the trial, same shit if you find yourself a partisan judge who will basically not even try to hear the accused side and rule whatever he wants.
The judge in this case has greatly engaged in extreme partisan shit, to the point of throwing out any counters anyone has brought up, people are literally bringing the case even to the EU because it's clear the spanish judicial system will never overthrow the ruling and the constitutional court basically does what the PSOE tells them to, so if there's no agenda to overthrow this, they'll sit on the case for years or decades without doing shit, but here we go a corruption case and they're day two in there to overthrow the ruling.

Personally, I am using a laptop. Some ThinkPad models are not as modular. I have an X1 Carbon; it is very good. I enjoy being able to move around. Sometimes the couch is uncomfortable, so I want to sit at my desk. Sometimes the desk is uncomfortable, so I want to sit on the couch. I respect the quality of ThinkPads. Do you prefer laptops (not limited to ThinkPads) or desktops?

let me guess you need more for the cloud? nextcloud? some other php slop? why?

unix operating systems are already a cloud, they have authentication, users, groups, permissions, files, ability to send messages between users, etc.. the filesystem is a very low level database. most of the stuff you get on something like nextcloud.
that's what mainframe computers were. a centralized remote computer that people connected to through physical terminals and worked and collaborated in a multi-user environment.

>files and file sync
every user stores their file in their home folder and
ssh + rsync for sync
sftp to mount a remote drive

>muh calendar
.ics files in a ~/Calendars folder and sync them and open them on your favorite calendar software.

>muh contacts
literally text files. either for each contact or a single csv file.

based. personal computers were a mistake. everyone nowadays owns at least 2 or 3 devices. and it's a pain to keep them in sync.

i don't want a personal computer. bring back the mainframes. i want to let a multi-billion dollar company manage my computer, let them built it, configure it according to my demands and i will pay for it monthly to use it.
then i want all my devices to just be a cheap modern terminal that can remotely connect to my computer and allow me to use it. just a weak computer that can send input and receive and display/play output.
this way i have the same setup on all my devices. i can use my computer on any terminal in the world. i no longer need to bring with me some stupid clunky computer or a weak ass laptop or phone. i can just visit my relatives, ask to use their terminal and connect to my rented beefy build and play games or run a heavy language model.

i don't want any local storage, i don't want any local computing environment. why should i be forced manage my computer and make sure it's accessible an available when i need it? i want to pay a company to that for me. it's some company's job.

no idea who the fuck that is and it's irrelevant anyway
brass tacks, if the models and infrastructure made with this magic money can't turn a profit then that's bad news for everyone. I'm not an economist but I don't see how it can possibly generate revenue on it's own, and the cynic in me says that neither can these corporate worms, so the can will be kicked for as long as possible with 'mind-blowing' new functionality that's initially impressive, but has absolute no practical value
I predict that because we've been living it for years now
