No that's a fair question, I've actually considered that model. Two things though. One, I'm pretty limited in where I can buy a new phone. Honestly the main reason the Stylus 5g 2023 caught my eye is just because it's literally the only phone that has all the specs I want, is below 300, AND is available at my Best Buy. The Moto Edge 2022 there is more expensive than the Stylus 5g 2023 for some reason.

The photos just seem to be lacking detail and extremely easy to blur with even minor, expected hand instability, especially in 108 mp mode. Looking online, it seems like samsung has made the camera worse through updates/bricked the focus, and the only way to fix it is to tap the phone to force it to re-focus or swap lenses and swap back.

My glorious OnePlus 6 is finally dying on me after nearly 6 years of valiant service, the headphone jack is dead, the back is cracked, the battery is getting worse by the day, so it's time to look for something else.

I did about 2 hours worth of research today an I found 5 options so far, mostly being limited by my need for headphone jack and possibly LineageOS support. Each one with it's own issues:

If you're willing to shill out for one, a sony xperia 5 V has both a headphone jack and an sd card slot, while being a pretty high end phone. You can find older models used, but I think the 5 IV had a bunch of overheating issues. If you want a cheaper one you could get the 10 IV or 10 V.
Moto don't have headphone jacks on their higher end phones, but they do on a bunch of cheaper ones. The g84 is the highest end of their low end phones I think.
