Why doesn't anyone use webkit to develop a browser on linux and windows? Why is it simply chromium versus firefox when it should be a three way battle?

>>

>>100346994
The actual issue that prevents webkit browsers outside of Apple OSes is DRM. Google doesn't make a DRM module for webkit, and every Windows/Linux browser except Edge uses Google Widevine to support DRM. Since no support for Spotify/Netflix means 99% of people will never use your browser, you'd have to be a massive freetard to try (hence Konqueror and Epiphany)

Yep FF is flexible whereas most other browsers aren't on the subject of sidetabs. People expect me to use Brave when it takes a fucking decade for it to shrink/expand the panel (not adjustable) and opening new tabs is a chore. I think only Vivaldi sort of gets there. TST lets me color tabs to distinguish em and scroll through them with the scroll wheel too. Chromium based browsers are turbocucked and this is with Mozilla having taken away a lot of customization options throughout the years.
