technology is so impossibly powerful, simultaneously instrumental and detrimental.
it transforms society and civilization; the average person now has superpowers, while corps and gov have unbelievable control.
where do you see this going?
what do you think could be the best outcome?

>what do you think could be the best outcome?
God comes back and knocks it all down and some of us get to go to heaven. Everything else is some flavor of hell-until-heat-death.

It would be nice to have a hybrid of the bottom two quadrants of your chart though. I sometimes cry when I have to go into the city and see the disgusting concrete hives filled with slobbering retards that replaced what used to be meadows, marshes, and forests. Life could be so pleasant without greed.

I wuz thinkin on that
I literally live better than an enlightenment king in a few limited ways
I don't have servants or a palace or a massive garden or an opera house
But I have a huge library, climate control, transportation, lighting, communication and encryption beyond their understanding at the time.
And I don't need a servant to empty my bedchambers I have sewage access
so to some degree it's pretty great to make life better than kings of the past in some ways
on the other hand I don't have any sex so I would leave society and live in the woods if I wasn't so weak

fascist orwellian cyberpunk dystopia vs star trek intergalactic socialism

I hope that we'll see another big tech crash. What comes after that? Idk.

The US will probably turn into some cyberpunk dystopia. EU currently likes to troll FAGMAN, but I'm not sure about their endgame. The american will cry socialism, but in reality our leaders are corrupt as well. It's pretty evident that they are working towards a society where the bottom 50% are basically slaves. If you earn minimum wage then good luck financing your children's education or paying for their drivers license. In the majority of regions it's also impossible to afford a house for 90% of people.

Peak clownword is Switzerland, their prices are so ridiculous that many people sell their house to the bank and just pay rent. The math even checks out, but it still feels like a return to feudalism.

Dunno about Asia but I kinda root for China because I like chink shit. India in 100 years will be exactly as it is today btw.

I'll probably take the tedpill and buy a house in the woods. Wfh till noon, walk the dog, work the land, water the ducks, and rice arch until evening. A simple life for a simple man. I'd still need to pay money for starlink tho.

As it stands, with what we're seeing now, there is no way that the outcome of all this technological development isn't going to be bad. These huge corpos do not have humanities best interest in mind.

Its exactly going to be like that copypasta about using public toilets maintained by AI that will push ads at you for each square of toilet paper you pull off. Learn to live self sufficiently as soon as you can, guarantee you we're going to see horrors beyond imagination in our lifetimes.

>wages crunching across the US
>"inflation" continues to rise COL is astronomical
>people already can't afford houses
I'm pretty sure the bottom 50 are pretty much already slaves. Average down payment for a house you'd need not to get fucking mauled on your mortgage for 30 years in my state is over $70k and I'm not on either coast, and surveys show that the overwhelming majority of people barely have $2k to their name at any given point.

America is collapsing on itself from pure greed. Companies get bailed out 24/7 by the government, who in turn uses the people's money that they already don't have, while said companies laugh about fucking them, intentionally, on costs of goods. Its gone full clownworld mode here.
That phone call with the Kroger CEO laughing about raising the prices of stuff in their stores until people "stop buying, but they won't because we're their only option in a lot of areas, and in areas we're not we just work with competition" really drove it all home for me.

The people at the top are actively trying to fuck everyone underneath them, because its a game to them.

The country is collapsing on itself because it's steadily migrating to the economic model of fascist Italy. Everything you were saying sounded good until you just spouted "greed" like some liberal arts major pretending to be an economist.
The problem is a derelict government. You can't just put the blame on some nebulous aspect of human nature and call it a theory. That's what lazy wannabe intellectuals do while smoking hookah and watching hentai together.
Greed is omnipresent in human civilization. It's everywhere. And yet, there are societies that manage to function well enough despite that. Finland is not magically absent greed. Nor is Australia.
Something has broken down in the United States. So much is coming down around us, I don't really know what the catalyst might be.
