I can't believe people are recommending this pos or EM6L with a straight face when a part of their regular maintenance is supergluing the nozzles back on.

Conch is a favorite of mine but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like to EQ because it has a horrid peak situated around ~11khz that people complain about. It also has one usable nozzle (the red one), as the 2 others are very much ear rape.

The only reason to buy expensive additional DAC+amp is to get an additional volume for high impedance low sensitivity headphones or monitors. Such headpos are pretty rare and dying out as high impedance is needed to beat noise floor of a shitty DAC. The point is there's no such DACs left. If a DAC has noticeable noise, then it's a complete garbage nowadays.

You have to have perspective. 20% of all semi-sentient lifeforms on the internet are Indians. Unlike the Chinese and Africans, most of them can type in English (thanks British bros). So Indians are highly overrepresented in all written commentary.

When you grow up in a landfill, and play in the sewers, and eat various types of poop, then water resistant earphones like the Moondrop Space Travel seem like miracles from heaven. That's the source of all these reviews losing their minds over the "sound quality" of the tws.
>>
>>101108223
If the graph is the same then the impulse is also the same. The graph is literally derived from the impulse. And the impulse also gets manipulated by manipulating the graph. If something "sounds" fast then it just has less bass, most frequently from a bad seal.
>>
>>101108397
That mumbo jumbo doesn't prove anything, planars graph differently anyways.
>>
>>101108264
If you have USB C in your PC which you don't mind taking permanently by sound output, then just buy cx31993. The USB C female to USB A male adapter in the kit will brake very soon. So you can additionally get Hoco U107 adapter. Or just buy cs43131 and use regular USB C male to USB A female adapter to connect.
>>
>>101108448
>USB C male to USB A female
For cs43131 both are male obviously.
>>
>>101108242
>>101108367
what kind of mental illness is this
sound quality doesn't matter because you're going to eq it just like your 20 bucks wired pos
latency for music is irrelevant
latency for videos is debatable, with tws you get what you pay for, if you want to cheap out and buy $5 garbage, you will get 600ms garbage
latency for games is the only plausible argument, but there's nothing more subhuman than a "mobile esports gaymer"

nta but origin and kara are too thick to ever be considered as fitting snugly
the only saving grace of the origin's comfort is that the faceplate is small. long nozzle + fat diameter + heavy body is a retarded combo, at least tanchjim had the decency to spare us of another TE zero fit retardation.

HiBy W3 II. I would suck it up and go for Q5K, it's the evergreen favorite with the most well-sorted feature set and implementation.

>>101107854
>desktop DAC und Amps?
Universally, you do not need them, and they have higher noise floor (background hiss) than dongles designed with sensitive IEMs in mind. That being said, JDS Labs Atom2 stack, some Topping stacks are apparently OK but I am unsure of which pair because they spew out random-name releases every month like KZ, or an all-in-one like FiiO K7. These are already the low-end of "budget," I would not recommend options that are significantly cheaper.

>>101108579
Like people have responded, shell sizes generally increase with higher price, as manufacturers shove in more drivers, etc. New Meze Alba may fit your criteria as roughly Harman-ish and apparently fitting well. Simgot EM6L and Tanchjim Kara are fairly small, but that does not mean their fitment is ideal, and some people encounter issues with their fit. Sennheiser IE200 fits well but is plagued by cheap as hell build, mid sound, and terrible accessories that necessitate aftermarket purchases.

Finally got around to measuring the C2. Can also post the distortion measurement, but it's standard compared to other IEMs with one DD (max was ~0.51%THD at 3kHz for ~107dB)
>>
>>101109502
Something like Starfield (heavy metal, generic mold) is in stark contrast to pseudocustom resin IEMs which are lighter weight and better contoured to fit human ears. Not being custom fit though, of course one shell cannot universally fit all people great. Shopping a few options from a place like Amazon with generous returns, you can likely find a decent pseudocustom that fits well. Starfield is not an example of ideal IEM fit whatsoever.
>>
>>101109502
I'll just put it simply: Meze Alba, Kefine Delci. Try those. Alba is available on Headphones.com, Delci is on Amazon. Both sites have return policies if they don't work for you.

NTA but I went from Chu -> Hexa -> Kara. Kara is really small in faceplate size and fatness doesn't matter. It's very comfortable and I can wear it for hours unlike the other two.
>>
>>101109542
Overall, it sounds pretty good. A bit of EQ tweaking would make this excellent. The issue I have is that the faceplate edges on the inside can sometimes induce hotspots on my earlobe, so that's a bit annoying.
>>
>>101109797
that makes sense. kara was average in terms of fit for me, but i have a weird ear and canal entrance shape. i just wish the nozzles were a bit shorter to offset the added thickness so that they sit flush in my ears, but it's pretty good otherwise.
the origin is the same, but the metal build makes the fit even worse. i needed to not only tip roll a lot, but also cable roll for this one

I feel like after getting an okayish pair of IEMs I'm basically coming to the conclusion that a ton of music sounds really fucking terrible. Like the audio quality itself, I just keep hearing shitty compressed sounds, clipping, low def shit, etc. And I'm not watching bass boosted versions of songs in a compressed youtube video or something, I'm talking about official releases in flac and stuff. Not all music has this problem so I know it's not my own hearing, it just feels like there's some bizarre relationship between the popularity of music and how fucking bad it sounds. It's like the more people are going to hear it the less they care.

there used to be a time when intentional unpolished and rough finishing was something that was common among many albums [look at Rin Toshite's Inspiration is Dead] and you could tell it was meant to be listened that way because how well it was pulled off
ff to today and the straight up bad mastering is sounds worse than those of bygone era lacking any character whatsoever
>>101113157
also this, listen to better music and record labels who actually give a shit about audio fidelity
>>
>>101113033
not all music was mastered with the intent of playing it back on audiopedophile gear in the personal studio of some bay area hiv+ technigger making precisely $100,000 so he can brag to online strangers about making six figures while actually borderline facing eviction due to landleech mafia inflating rent prices until the whole area becomes unlivable. some music was intentionally made to be listened on $5 radios, at unrealistic volume levels or at pretend-illegal raves in acoustically untreated warehouses, some music was mastered by """esteemed industry veterans""" pushing their 8th decade of life, with 99% hearing loss, unable to hear anything above 4khz, some music was mastered by tech illiterate bedroom """sound engineers""" with fruityloops who thought they knew better.

tl;dr yes a lot of music actually sounds like garbage from a technical standpoint. budget pos enjoyers just delude themselves into thinking their $80 pos is to blame because it lacks techs which are universally known to be stored in the price tag, and they fantasize about dumping 3 kilo united states yuans to unlock all that presumed magic and beauty they're missing in music, magic and beauty which isn't there because the music is actually shit. you can either accept that or develop a sudden liking for 768khz classical music and smooth jazz samplers mastered by unappreciated incel earsex engineer prodigies.

That’s one of the smaller single DD IEMs, if you think that’s large the most IEMs with more than a driver is not for you. What do you mean by large? If it’s sticks out of your eat too much try smaller ear tips to get in deeper, if you mean weight then look for something with a resin shell instead of metal since the Starfields are a zinc alloy.

This. Music taste or developing an appreciation for audio production is irrelevant in this god forsaken hobby where the only gratification achievable for us is to jerk off to overly glorified pos with revolutionary techs being released every month.

>>101116124
A very low bar.

Music sounds good on anything. What else do you want from it. Buying a good pos is way beyond mere music enjoyment.
>>
>>101116190

Low bar to what? Entry to enlightenment?

Then I will move the remaining tracks into a general "artist" folder.

>Music sounds good on anything.
No it doesn't. Never did snd never will. The only way to achieve pinnacle of sound is to spend in hundreds for latest and greatest techs, with each purchase you reach closer to what is considered as absolute perfect in this hobby. Not saying you cant enjoy low quality and inferior sound waves but limiting yourself by and not branching upward for the paragon isn't particularly something to strive for.

You didn't expect them to keep selling a $40 shell for $20 forever, right? Hola is gone
But it did come back already
This time with the same goated cable and improved tuning to compensate for a downgraded shell

This is the way. My library is evolving. I add albums, and will soon delete pieces that I don't like. And as time passes, more pieces will be deleted. Don't collect music; experience it.
>>
>>101117255
I've already edited some parts of tracks that I didn't like. EQ the intro in one track, remove a vocal break in another, remove a couple of recording glitches, etc.
>>
>>101113033
Just get used to running different DSP filters on everything.
