Op is talking about a modified custom ISO which you should never install
>>
>>101191077
it also records every single program you click on in your taskbar (exe / path)

Bruh, what the fuck, I'm not that surprised Microsfoft spies on me, I'm even more surprised I seemingly spend the day clicking on the show desktop button.
>>
>>101191077
>>101191220
check the other subfolders in that registry key, every program as mentioned by >>101191209 is recorded too. and if you google for those reg keys, the only thing you ever find is computer forensic investigator blogs about it and how they use it to fuck you over. as far as I know the only way to stop that recording is to make a permission deny rule to prevent write access to the keys.
>>
>>101190559
Microsoft
>>
>>101191241
I deleted the FeatureUsage folder out of curiosity, now every time I click on the clock, the show desktop button, or open a program, there's a lag of nearly 2 seconds before it responds. The key didn't get recreated (yet), but this is unusable, what the actual fuck. I can't reboot right now to see what happens on a fresh boot though.
>>
>>101191306
as I said, you need to add a permission to the FeatureUsage key with (Administrators > Deny) permission applied it can't be written to by your user. theres tons of shit like this all throughout windows, specially those "performance timers" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\ that need to be disabled with a tool like ExecTI because the regular admin accounts can't even write to them. Tedious.

LTSC 2019 doesn't have this problem
>>
>>101192814
LTSC 2019 is EOL, plus its CPU scheduler doesn't support Ryzen or newer Intels so its useless.

I am using win11 LTSC

Which they would fucking fix that stupid fucking ms-gamebar popup that both win10 and 11 LTSC has, why the fuck is a stock OS trying to use something that's not there and has to be manually fixed on every install? Why the fuck isn't pajeet fixing that of all things

>>
>>101190559
I have two XP machines, two Windows 7 machines, and two 10 Enterprise LTSC machines. And I am only planning to expand operations on my older systems. 11 has much to accomplish before it can be considered a worthwile upgrade, assuming any improvements over 7 in features/UX/peformance won't be immediately undermined by more bloat and spyware.

this
>>
>>101190559
It's literally just because I can't move the taskbar to the right side of the screen. That's it.
>>
>>101193218
that's wrong. the Scheduler is part of the windows kernel and is controlled by MS. do some preliminary research before you speak about things you don't understand.
>>
>>101190951
I used a bunch of programs and powershell scripts to disable and remove shit, Wireshark doesn't show anything. I must investigate this further.
>>
>>101193293
you can start here, https://www.crowdstrike.com/blog/how-to-employ-featureusage-for-windows-10-taskbar-forensics/
this is similar to what I mentioned with the WMI loggers, this data is still collected and written on the host machine, MS probably just sends it back to their servers when you update windows or in their maintenance tasks that run when the system is idling.
>>
>>101192843
LTSC doesn't support Ryzen in the first place from what I checked, neither does Windowa 7 or 8 for that matter. You get USB issues or BSODs at worst.

They say shit like Windows 7 will not work on newer hardware when the reality is that you Micro$haft and their partners try to make it as hard as possible to find drivers and pull downloads from their websites.

Windows 10/11 is an absolute joke filled with bloatware, they try only to force people off of 7 to 10/11 to collect data. Under the hood, nothing has fundamentally changed since 7 (aka Vista SP2) or XP/2000/8. There is zero reason why current drivers, firmware, microcode, scheduling, and so on cannot be patched to work on Windows 7. Especially when all sorts of hardware seems to run snappier than it did on newer versions (especially storage).

I just recently reinstalled 7 on my old 8.1 > 10 system and I now really fucking wish I had used it instead of 8.1/10 since 2014. Holy shit.

You must be using old hardware. I have an old PC that runs 8.1. I might try 11 on that to see why people are pissy about it.
>>
>>101197215
This. So much. Shit just spend $1500 every year or two. Then sell it when something shiny comes out. See I've been giving my old hardware away for decades and Jesus always makes sure I have a good PC.

I don't see the point in spending money on pro for more features I won't use, and I have a feeling 'upgrading' pro will undo all of the disabled telemetry or undo all of the customisations I've made.

MRU and a few other places record the names of all folders, the photo viewer aoo records a hash of every image and sends it to ms in chunks too if i recall, something with markmonitor or whatever the fuck the company they partner with is.
