I'm sick and tired of amd shitware, they can't make softwar for shit and am4 is still highly unstable for me.
for example the latest chipset version make my computer sleep and silently crash, hardware reboot is the only thing I can do, windows or linux (arch) it does not fucking matter.
I also manage to reliably make my cpu crash with µprof...
I won't talk about gpu drivers as it's an embarrassment and I don't understand why there is no class-action lawsuit over them in the us already.

I don't use it, it's just an issue that exist also some chipset driver ago needed a newer bios revision for my board in order to not crash the computer when no monitors were detected, I didn't manage to reproduce it in arch only in win10.
tell me how this is acceptable, I have decades of experience with intel and powerpc and I've never seen something like this.
I also encountered the issue with epyc cpu at work that requires a reboot if uptime is too long (ie around only a year lmao)
they had YEARS to get their shit together and hire the best swe on the planet but they didn't, their latest "AI" chips mi300x aren't usable because there is a bug in drivers that make them randomly crash or have memory corruption (I've seen them with my own eyes), the previous gen isn't really any better, amd engineers themselves advise against long training because they know their software aren't up to the task and will most likely never be.
the entire amd lineup is dogshit and (imo) beyond recovery, they don't care about any of this and it's starting to show with lackluster zen5 and cdna3.
the hype is dying and it's a fucking shame as I hate monopolies and status quo.
