>got gifted a new 4060 PC just because I was in a tight spot in money (switching jobs soon anyways)>came with fucking Windows 11 installedI'm already going for a W10/Linux partition, but before I pull the trigger I want to hear your devil's advocate opinions on W11 and whether or not I should keep it instead for some reason. I've never really looked into it before since the UI and Microsoft account requirements alone were obvious red flags, but if there's genuine benefits I wanna hear them.
>>101212199If your computer runs Windows 11 fast enough for you, then keep 11. It's a slow piece of crap. Some people think 11 is less configurable than 10, but I haven't found that to be a problem. It's just the speed that sucks. On the other hand, 10 is faster but has more bugs and worse user experience.

If you're already used to 10 and have no interest in becoming a linuxfag, stick with 11 and debloat it using one of the existing applications. If you want to try Linux, test out a kubuntu or mint edge iso
>>101212199its windows xp vs vista all over again. just stick with xp despite what mouth breathers say.

>>101212199hope you don't mind your resources being used to take screenshots of your desktop every 3 seconds to train their AI >but you can turn it off!says Microsoft, who also said the same about pic rel.Until that shit is certifiably permanently removed there is no amount of good that os can do to make it worth it.
>>101212199Why would you accept a second-hand computer and just blindly trust the OS that it comes with? Surely you would wipe it to be safe. Are you braindead?
Furthermore you should install Windows 10 LTSC IoT and dual-boot it with Debian.
>>101212199who is your email service provider anon
I got a laptop with windows 11 pro and I dislike it a lot less than I thought. I'm considering keeping the dual-boot setup that I installed. I use a local account, it's easy to uninstall most of the bloat so it's pretty minimal after a short customization. I don't think it's noticeably worse than W10
