Is this a bug, or a feature?
>>
>>101214254
both
>>
>>101214254
Please instruct me on how to replicate this bug so I can leverage it to make my boss paranoid about Linux.

its a macos feature.
your boss will talk with anybody else and you will pass for a retard. rightfully.
>>
>>101214254
It's a macos feature, it's nice to have options like this but they really have to make a high quality cursors for this to work
>>
>>101214417
>>101214454
How do you disable it?
>>
le jumbo cursor
>>
it's a feature, it's so you can find your mouse if you lose it. no i'm not joking
many os's have had features like this over the years, windows for example has an option to find a pointer using the ctrl key and has since i think xp (at least it's not in my win98 emulator)
>>

>they really have to make a high quality cursors for this to work
They already did in 6.1.1
>>
>>101214454
the default cursor already has an svg (scalable) cursor for this purpose, but since it's new, other people have to update their cursor themes to support it
>>
>>101214254
It's a feature, it's literally written on your .webm "shake cursor to find it" you fucking retard.
>>
>>101214254
Why is this the thread that you repost? KDE has real problems too
>>
>>101216311
>no i'm not joking
What you mean, it's a great feature for someone like me that can't see shit, i already have made my cursor big as shit and i still lose it sometimes
>>
>>101216646
accessibility features often seem pretty goofy if you aren't aware what their use-case is
>>
>>101216311

You forgot to say nta, r*ddit typer
>>
>>101217235
i didn't reply to anyone
>>
>>101214254
it's to really make sure you can find it
>>
>>101214254
Wayland only feature. Troon who made this must really hate X11.
>>
>>101214254
It's an accessibility feature for tards who lose their mouse

Literally my dick throughout a gooning session
>>
>>101214254
they fixed it so now if you use breeze its an svg so it will always be sharp
>>
>>101214254

I don't remember when exactly it became so common here, but barely anyone used "nta" on /g/ a few years ago and now you are the one calling people reddit for NOT using it
lmao
https://desuarchive.org/g/search/text/nta/end/2020-01-01/page/1/
and yes, I still subconsciously read it as "not the asshole" because I used r*ddit circa 2014 and this was a thing there
>>
>>101216311
Just seems like it'd be simpler to have a hotkey to move the cursor to the center or one of the corners of the screen.
>>
>>101218907
well i've never seen someone use it, so i can't say
pointer trails on the other hand i have used, that's mainly beneficial on ancient passive-matrix lcd screens, of which i've owned a couple. because those have extremely slow pixel response times, the normal pointer can almost literally disappear when moving quickly
