In high school my friend and I were hanging out in the library talking about storage. The first 1TB hard drive had been developed and we were just completely blanking on what the applications could be.
We couldn't imagine having enough media to ever fill 1TB.
Now we have flash drive with more. It's beyond stupid. Video games can be 0.5TB now. How many pages of text could you fit in that? 536 billion pages? Like damn.

i had a pentium whose hdd was 3 gb iirc, smaller than a dvd.

i also had a 386dx but i was too young to do anything on it beyond starting games from dos
my guess is that the hdd had to be in the hundreds of megs.
probably less space than you had on an audio cd

one year for Christmas I asked Santa for a 4GB hard drive to upgrade from the 350MB drive our first HP came with
it was probably 1995?
