What distro would you recommend a beginner who doesn't like an ugly UI?
>>101238209I know that everyone shit talks open source for looking ugly, but I kinda like it.Whenever people try to "Beautify" their nvims and terminals, I always think it looks like ass imo.
>>101238209Define "ugly UI".
>>101238209Try Kubuntu.

>>101238209You could first try debian, arch or whatever on a VM and install different desktop environments to see what suits you

>>101238241>>101238262>>101238282OP specifically requested no ugly UIs.
>>101238209>has a distro issue>look inside>it's a de issueevery time
>>101238252ZorinOS maybe. It's goals are similar to Mint's (having a traditional desktop layout that is as easy to use as possible) but uses a tweaked version fo GNOME with its own theme instead of Cinnamon (which you find ugly).
>>101238209I'd use Mint if it didn't have that dog shit DE.
>>101238318Most ""distros"" are just themed DEs. In reality there are only 10 or so actual proper GNU/Linux distributions which are actively maintained.
