Which is the lightest Windows 10, IoT or Tiny10? (or something else?) And what are their downsides?
>>101243275Gentoo>downsidesnone
>>101243275if you use custom windows isos you're a braindead retardlike imagine already being okay with kikerosoft malware and THEN wanting even more malware on top of that
>>101243275just put some time getting to learn linux, stop being a trillion dollar company corp suck cocking bitch normie
>>101243275You can never be 100% sure about what's in a custom ISO so you should never use oneSure, Windows is malware but at least you know what kind of Malware it is
>>101243275Go for 10 iot ltsc. Custom images are unstable garbage.
>>101243275windows 10 iot ltsc will last you till 2032.
>>101243425>>101243781What are the downsides of iot compared to the normal fat ass Windows 10?
>>101243275>Tiny10That's not a version of windows, stop fucking downloading stupid shit, you miserable cunt. You're the reason why viruses exist. Fuck you.
>>101243314>more malwarewhat
>>101244039From my few months using it:- Some features missing (image viewer, MS store, Game Bar, etc)- Despite that it's only <5GB lighter than regular Windows 10
>>101243275Both come with spyware, install windows 10 enterprise g
>>101244308Do you expect us to believe that iot has more spyware than a cpoy customized by an anonymous transgender pedo indian?
>>101244249I must admit I have no idea what Game Bar is or if MS Store is of any use. '-_- These things can't be installed later if needed? Here is the thing: It's for my brother's ~2016 i5 laptop. He mostly uses it for Office for his business, webbrowsing and Youtube, and occasionally play some old Need For Speed.I am a "old laptops run better on Linux" guy, but he tried Linux Mint on my computer and hates it, he just wants Windows 10. Problem is: I know nothing about Windows 10 (or 11 or 12), for the most recent Windows I use is 7. '-_-The other day I vaguely heard here that iot does not become sluggish quickly like the regular version and does not update while you're working, that is why I thought about it.
>>101244308Not installing anything unless the hash gives a result in the adguard file list:https://files.rg-adguard.net/search
>>101243275IoT is just the license type, it's binary identical to LTSC
>>101245118IoT is less bloated than the regular editions but it's also not some magical shit that runs twice as fast. The main appeal of IoT LTSC is that it never breaks because it doesn't get feature updates (though some future, new software in like 4-5 years might not run on it because of that), and it gets security updates until 2032, so you can safely stay on Windows 10 for much longer if you don't like Windows 11
