I'd only ever launch nonfree software on Linux desu, steam included. flatpak steam is basically the bare minimum and I'm impressed that Windows still doesn't have a working solution that's similar at this point. Windows supposedly wants to stabilize its syscall layer so they can have their gay container shit like Linux. At this point, I'd argue Windows is basically just ripping off Linux, which is hilarious and ironic.
