I saw a keyboard forum post by a guy living there who said their packaging is too large so he never buys from Amazon because shipping ends up being insanely expensive. (Not 50 cents)I'm sure that's Amazon just making a little extra money by shutting out the singapore market entirely. When you ask for $100 to ship something, and they cancel the order, you win

The most heated internet arguments always involve an element of mutual coping, where each anon is attempting to demolish the other's cope and fortify his own. Thus when you get a trade closeted homo and a gay open homo arguing it gets very intense. One must cope about not enjoying the thing he desires, about being a hypocrite who has to hide a part of himself. The other must cope about taking dicks in his butt, being a fag, having AIDS, etcLikewise here we see one anon definitely coping about the fact he paid $60 for "shipping", an amorphous nothing that just moves the product from the warehouse to the goon cave. He has to prove he's not a "sucker". On the other hand, this is /mkg/, so you know exactly what his interlocutor is coping about. >>101542721That's pretty fair price for a good condition f1
>>101542721>$520 for a used keyboard/g/, I...
>>101542877I would pay up to $800 if I saw f1 regal being listed too
>>101542898There used to be a $370 F1 Regal listing, not sure if that got sold lmao
>>101542919That's too low, maybe a scammer or something
>>101542898Whatever floats your boat, but I think that price has far outpaced the utility you can get from the keyboard.
I don't really care about mechanical keyboard shit and just want something comfy to type on without doing any work so I ordered picrel. I read from multiple sources that this is really well built and feels the same to type on as something custom-built. Here's to hoping I didn't waste $150
>>101542928Yeah last time I heard, the buyer was reporting the seller lmao
>>101536469They are gaming keyboards, if you don't want their features than there's no reason to get it. I like mine for gaming and use my Topre for everything else
>>101537197Valve have not commented on it though
>>101543028bro what is that i love low profiles
>>101543613https://www.razer.com/ca-en/gaming-keyboards/razer-huntsman-v3-pro-tenkeyless/On the product page it is approved by valve. They already know about it.
what options are there if i am looking for 6 or more macro keys, something like corsair k95 / logitech g105, don't mind membrane
>>101544299https://mechboards.co.uk/collections/featured/products/hyper-7-v4
>>101510346>>101510711much appreciated!
>>101544242Damn that's crazy. Hardware is going too far to assist in my opinion. Latency reductions, polling rate increases, actuation/release point adjustment is as far as it should goAlthough I will use this on my Wooting
Anyone got experience with cheap amazon keycaps? Want a new look but don't really want to spend that much
>>101534712did you take the foams out yet? how bad is the pcb flex? iirc they made a lot of flex cuts
>>101544230lofree flow
>>101543028>feels the same to type on as something custom-built>$150It won't but you are not going to be able to tell it I guess.
>>101499193How destructive is keyboard key lube? Can I do it at my desk with some paper towels (the desk is wooden)? Or should I get a place mat to do this on?
I'd spend any amount to have a wireless keyboard with trackpad and mouse buttons like this that wasn't cheap flimsy garbage
>>101547825It's not that big of a worry. You can just use some paper towel but preferably you should just not spill any since krytox is expensive shit.
>>101547946The lube I got came in a package so I guess I'll get a small bowl to squirt it into then
>>101547960What, you mean like a little syringe? Use a teeny jar like picrel if you have one. That way you'd just dip a small brush into the lube as needed.
>>101547977you keyboard trannies have a sense of humor
>>101547923the batteries in this bitch lasted like an entire covidmagic
>>101499761are there membrane ones that have rollover keys
>>101547977Where would I buy a jar that small?
>>101548039Because you really don't need much at all. You can lube many keyboards with just one tiny pot.
>>101548039Try your local dollar store.
>>101548032I have rechargeable batteries in mine and I haven't recharged them since I got it a year ago
>>101548059Even for stabi?>>101548061I have tupperware I use to store food and sauces that small but I don't want to use it, find out that the lube binded to the plastic and then I can't use it to store food anymore.
>>101548059I'm retarded, I thought you said "why" instead of "where". Sorry. I bought mine on Amazon.
>>101548070Krytox is plastic safe. You're literally using it to lube plastic after all.
>>101548088Well I don't know I'm totally new to this.
>>101518498Are there any heavy tactiles that don't start chattering sooner or later? I'm running out of spare Glorious Pandas on my Tofu60
>>101542988not a utility at that point just like buying a watch or fancy cutlery or annie may figurines. In terms of utility a Logitech K-120 will get you that.
>>101548185Seems to be a thing with all MX heavy tactiles developing leaf issues over time, possibly due to the bump on the slider bending the external leaf. MX just isn't designed with heavy tactiles in mind, it's good for linears and light-medium tactiles. I would look towards Topre or even ALPS, ALPS Clones or Matias if you don't mind the maintenance.
>>101547923Get a Cherry G80-1190x and mod it. Could try finding an older one with doubleshots.
hot take. Backspace should be called backword and instead of removing one space it should remove words.
>>101499761topre stopped me consooming keyboard stuff. It was a super comfy endgame for me.
>>101550198ctrl+backspace?
>>101550253should not be a shortcut
damn these Akko Creamy Purple switches feel greatbeen looking for lighter but still strongly tactile switches to maybe replace my Boba U4T. these feel very tactile for such a light switch, maybe the extra low travel also helpsthey sound very different from Akko's other switches too, I guess it's the nylon stem. they are more bassyliking the creamy blues too for a lighter tactile experience. they feel very smooth
>>101550286It's barely a short cut, ctrl is where my left pinky is and backspace is where my right pinky is. It's as easy as just pressing backspace.
>>101533816Please provide a zoomed out view.
>>101545797Its got quite a bit of flex relative to others ive owned like my keychron q1 pro. Haven't opened it up yet to take out the foam but at this point not sure i will. Straight from the box the stock typing experience is already super comfy and smooth
Bros how easy would it be to build a nice keyboard that sounds goodfor under $120? Is a full one with a numpad an option at that price? Any guides I should look at?
>>101550429Sorry I cant I have a slight scratch on my v key and its noticeable when it gets gunk on it. Maybe later this week if I clean it up. >>101551098Depends what you mean by nice. If you mean big heavy metal case sound probably not. But otherwise any plastic keyboard that is tuned well will sound alright (springs oiled if necessary, stabilizers greased up, switches broken in, dampening foam if you like). I think Leopold are great but Cherry springs are pingy so you would need to desolder it and that's a pain with OEM solder. Keychrons are alright hotswap boards and cheap.
>>101551098https://files.catbox.moe/cb63wa.pdf
>>101551292brother, this is an imageboard.
LMFAO I guess I have to do ISO then... great job qwertykeys!is this easy to file or drill out or is that a very bad idea? I used my hotswap pcb for the first month or so I don't know if I can still get this replaced lol
Would a Keychron V6 be an upgrade or downgrade from a Corsair K70 MK2?
>>101551546>Would a Keychron V6 be an upgrade or downgrade from a Corsair K70 MK2probably upgrade if you add inSome aftermarjet switches
>>101551532oh wait, it's just a weird hole but it works I'm retarded
How do you guys see non backlit keyboards at night?
>>101552598we have the lights on like any sane person would
>>101552661That sounds pretty retarded to have bright lights on at night (comfy time)
>>101552598Monitor backlight, white keycaps

>>101552835Post WPM faggot
>>101552598Even if I mistake a key I will just look at the output in the monitor and fix the situation. At this point you should have a general notion of where every key is, touch typing or not.
>>101552876I did say that I touch type but the best I can is 90 wpm lmao
>>101552690they don't have to be bright anon, you can have a nice comfy warm glow.
>>101552983So joyous & comfy! Giving of very positive energy. What are you snacking on and drinking? Also, what monitor? God, I miss square monitors so much, it's unreal.
>>101553189cupa tea and short bread. water in the tankard. the monitor is an eizo flexscan l788 switched to a smaller, lower resolution monitor a while back as a sort of knee jerk against having multiple monitors for ages. I find it helps me focus a lot better and stay productive.

I don't play them often though.Yeah I collect tapes.>>101553553It's a little 5" screen I got cheap. >>101552598I sleep at night

any good cheap ergo split keyboard? I have a keychron q1 and like most about it, but I wish it was a split and wireless, but still have similiar quality. I tried the road of building and 3d printing cases but they feel like shit
