As of FF 128 stable you can make content pages transparent. Sidebar extension transparency will land in FF 130 stable or you can use it right now on nightly. Only two lines you need for transparency are:

--tabpanel-background-color: transparent !important;
background: transparent !important;
}
And then make the root of the extension transparent for the sidebar.
