Pretty much every smartphone has tethering or a hotspot feature. They also still sell mobile hotspots in the same places they sell burner phones

>>101535648Connect it to your phone's WiFi hot spot. Some laptops also have cellular modems built in.Ubuntu is okay, Mint and KDE Neon is a bit better. Also how was that rock you've been living under? Can I go there now that you're not using it?
>>101535695Thanks for the info. Why is Mint better than Ubuntu?Yes you can go there, the rock is warmed up and ready for you.
>>101535648Most business laptops started having cell modems built in so you only needed to add a simcard instead of the bulky dongle. Wifi also lessened the need.
Generally you just use wifi to tether your laptop to your phone. You get a sim card for your laptop if you absolutely need data all the time. You can Bluetooth tether too which uses less power than wifi but transfer rate is shit, and you can use wired tethering but it will drain your laptop battery if it's charging your phone.
