>*resurrects you're 15yo+ computer still using an hdd*
don't mind me, just being the hugest advance in consumer computers in the past 20 years if not more

outside this and adaptive sync, there really arent many things that are completely "solved" when it comes to completely new solutions to hw
, but everything did get a lot better and cheaper at least
>>

>not nvme

>>
>>101537511

is partially true, computer twenty year old can have modern os, but visuals are limited to vhs tier multimedia

NVMe, not M.2.
There's Mini-PCIe SSDs that you could slap into a 15+ year old laptop. Adding NVMe boot block to BIOS is easy.

???

If you're gonna put an ssd in your computer, you might as well max out the RAM and clean the cpu/heatsink.

>>
>>101539431
I know how you feel, 3rd world friend.
>>
>>101537633
It should do 1080p through h264 and lots of games also will run at 1080p.
>>
>>101542447
>spend like x2 if not more for M2 nvme+adapter just to get the same performance as buying a decent SATA SSD
ok you got me mang
>>
>>101537989
Recently did this to a laotop, in conjunction to installing Linux mint. Went from taking 10-15 mins to start win10 ltsc to 30seconds on mint. Its usable now.
>>
>>101548298
same but windows 10 ltsc (as I'm not trans-sexual)

15 years ago puts you in a laptop from 2009
>>
>>101548668
you're not making sense, leunuch
>>
>>101537511
buddy, I put an SSD in it 15 years ago
>>
I put one of these plus some shitty Nvidia card in my old ass Dell about a year ago and it feels like new, plus I can finally play vidya games made post 2015 (not that there's many of those worth playing anyway though). Fuck buying new shit lol
>>
>>101548298
cleanup your startup daemons and don't wait for networking.
shouldn't take more than 10s to boot
>>
>>101537633
A computer from 2004 would have an Athlon 64 and a Geforce6 series card, this would run windows 10 today and play 1080p media fine
>>
>>101537511
>SanDisk SSD 3 years later: -ACK!
>Samsung SSD: You will never be a realiable drive.
