I don't get excited about upcoming tech any more. It's usually just the same old ideas warmed over by idiots who don't know any better, and it all gets so fucking old after several decades of this dumb churn.It needs to be something truly exotic for me to get excited. Or to have a nice ass.

>>101541554idc about cosmic or risc. but zig is actually pretty good and not a c++ replacement, much closer to c. the zigcc compiler honestly is a lot better than dealing with cmake and if they actually manage to get incremental compilation and hot swapping code to work it would be a god send for me as a game dev. it's a stupid minor thing but they also have a nice little cli progress bar showing whats building and all the sub tasks in real time you can use that I like.
