If you're lucky you will be allowed to self manage and have lots of freetime in between routine patrols.Then try to come up with some field you're passionate about and can tie to a business. If you think it's bad now, just wait until the tech sector eats shit as the money rotates away to chase something else, likely going to be green energy related things.Tech is going to get extremely fucked, so you might want to start looking at some other industries to be ahead of the curve.

Security tech is an area you might like to consider - CCTV, access control and alarms. Not hard to self learn and most countries don't have qual requirements.
