Does freesync add latency when turned on in your monitor settings? I never drop below my monitors refresh rate so would it only worsen my experience
freesync reduces latency because all frames are displayed when needed. the display doesn't have a set refreshrate where you need add intentional latency to even out the frametimings for each vblank and draw duplicate frames
