I got matched with some people, but they seem like bots to me, even though they got a blue checkmark indicating they are real person and verified.

Is it possible for a scammer or bot to pretend to be real and bypass this verify status?

Also, I got matched despite not having liked the person, and had zero likes. How is that possible?

Yes. Accounts are sold and used secondhand just to look legit.
Someone who works at X could just make an account verified too.
Verification doesn't exist to get rid of bots. It gets rid of COMPETING bots.

>some dirty hand pajeet buys account from a slav subhuman and additionally pays for every photo/video you get from "her".
the only verification you can do is to meet her irl.
