The mesa drivers are ootb on Linux but lacks features, you would need to install the AMD PRO drivers ANYWAY and hope you have official support. On NVidia is pretty straightforward, you install the drivers, you get the support.I dare to say Nvidia is better on Linux because you don't have the NVIDIA experience bullshit. If I were you, I'd go for NVidia or Intel Arc.
