Well no shit people using stock clocks aren't probably affected.
People overclocking already voided their warranty even on k processor.
Its well know that you always take a risk when overclocking.

>Well no shit people using stock clocks aren't probably affected.
hey, faggot, stock CPUs with stock setting and stock microcode are shitting the bed.
>>
>>101584895
There is actual proof of that being the case? Or just people bullshiting to fuel internet drama?
I can't imagine Intel taking the decision to not honor warranties and risking suits if they didn't did their own tests.

phew, dodged a bullet there.
>>

Kinda scummy, as they knowingly sold factory overclocked SKUs and don't want to honor warranty for defects because of said factory overclocking.
I suspect it is because Intel is really in a sadder fiscal state that what is publicly known and really cannot afford a mass recall.
They did the whole Pentum III 1.13Ghz and FVIR Pentium 1 recall/replacment with no questions asked.
>>
>>101586392
Probably not enough known, good working binned dies available to replace every 13900k/14900k on the market, let alone KS models
Plus with this microcode on the way which will most likely impact performance..
>>
>>101584700
They're going to lower your clocks because they have to lower voltage. They won't take back your broken CPUs that are already damaged and you'll thank them for it.
>>
>>101584700

>goy scammed by Intel-Aviv

shocking

Are lower end laptop processors safe?

AMDjeets may be laughing now, but the JEETING WILL start to rot AMD from within as well, if it hasn't already.
>>
>>101584700
I'm glad I didn't upgraded, still on 8700k. My next build is 100% guaranteed to be Ryzen based.
>>
>>101585713
There haven't been any reports of problems with meteor lake so it's probably fine

Then again, Intel has shown you exactly how they treat customers who end up with defective CPUs. Do you want to trust them?
>>
>>101584955
They wouldn't have to release new microcode if stock settings were fine. If you were running it outside of the performance envelope that Intel gave you, then it would be your fault and there wouldn't be a need for a microcode update. Capiche?
>>
buy intc, you guys are missing out
