Has anyone ever tried running a game of RPG with chatbots simulating players via group chat? I tried today using Sonnet 3.0 and everything from introducing the system I am using (OD&D) to them actually creating their characters ran pretty smoothly... But as soon as actual play begins, they seem to mix their identity with the character they are playing as, and in general seem to struggle distinguishing what is in-game and what is not. Like, one of the players would simply adopt their player character physical traits such as a beak as their own out of the game lolI'm using lorebooks to keep track of their character sheets and campaign information btw, but I wonder if there is a better model suited for this...I have tried running a game where the chat bots were the actual in-game characters themselves but that made things hard to pace and simulate since I had no access to an out of game meta persona to discuss the scenarios and intentions...

Which for Claude is enough to have him naturally fill in the blank with seemingly accurate paraphrasing – for cooming purposes I might add! Which is most if use it for. If I have the score higher then .75 it never finds anything. But at .6 It usually finds some and .5 and below it just pulls in everything random. All I can say that for my purposes, it works great! Especially if you feed it files that are clean and just pure text. Pic related are one older RP's in plaintext, cleaned of all html, xml, occ and other such instructions, just the roleplay/narrative text. So with right sized chunks and the right prompt, it pulls in more relevant information then chat messages does.I also used to add within <!-- --> comments keywords to point vectorization to a specific scene. This works really well if you don't right right long enough prompts, but I stopped doing that as longer prompts usually resulted in good enough accuracy.

So everything inside them will be tossed into your prompt based on relevancy. This is not good, as it will 'poison' your prompt with older commands/instructions. Hence why I like the Vectorization for files, as I can basically clean my chat files for things that is irrelevant or could poison it. Pic related is a quick parse I did on one of my chats. Left image has (one) ooc command and the dialogue uses HTML to color character dialogues, while the right is the parsed version which cleans away all HTML, OOC and other 'dirty' stuff that's irrelevant to the 'story. Guys, there are a lot of Opus and Sonnet 3.5 keys out there. You just have to access them legally.Don't limit yourself to just Opus. There are also excellent options like Mixtral or even Qwen 2 with multilingual and code support. Many AI service sites have discounts, so take advantage of them!
