Yeah, looking back on 1.3 it was pretty far from great, but still had soul. Same with 2 now in comparison to 3, but in the case of 2.1 I find it can at least avoid the extremely aggressive horniness of Sonnet without using extra instructions. My absolute favorite roleplay/story I've done with Claude so far was done with 2.1, a short while before 3 came out. It was a saviorfag story with a bot that I made, and when I go back to read through it again, I still tear up. Overall though, Opus is superior to both, and I so fucking badly wish it was more accessible.
