Depends what you're training I suppose, a style or wide ranging concept would probably benefit from more images. For people I think 20-25 is the sweet spot

Local VLM? or is it just api calls to gpt? I'd like to make something similar, but I don't know if I could run it on my GPU (24 GB VRAM). GPT api could work but images are very token rich (One 512x512 image is like 1k tokens)

this is where loras excel: style transfer. sure you can prompt for styles but if you want a particular aesthetic (or character), loras are ideal.

Is there some turbo autist here that could modify the ComfyUi's retarded lora loader so that it stop unloading/reloading everytime you want to touch some strength or change the loras?

Piercel is the picture with the 2 relevant functions that does this poor piss job of lora loading.

Here's the better idea:

1. When loading the first LoRA, it should store the original weights of the model that are about to be modified by the LoRA in memory.

2. When changing a LoRA (or its strength), it reverts the Lora-modified model to its original state by copying the stored original weights back to the model.

3. Then it stores the original weights of the model that are about to be modified by the second lora in memory.

4. Then we can apply the second lora to the model.

cd \ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\ComfyUI_bitsandbytes_NF4\

if that fails on build try a specific python version

Think of it as a folder (because it is). The folder contains libraries. When you activate a venv the some path magic happens and the libraries in your folder are attached to what you are doing.

It is a shitstorm sometimes because many of the UIs will make a venv for you (very handy) and then not tell you that it exists and then it is hard to update the magic directory you don't know about.

The system (mostly) exists so you can run different versions of libraries for different applications. pip is an installer for those libraries. pip uses this site https://pypi.org/ It is a good place to check when you are trying to find something. The ecosystem can be dogshit sometimes and package names aren't what you expect.

no that breaks things. It shouldn't break things, but it does. There are scripts that use pip list and then pip install to restore things to a new venv.

conda is arguably more stable for system level packages. I am thinking if you want CUDA 11.8 and 12.1 that is a very annoying thing to setup in venv.
