The amount of loss isn't really all that important, as long as the output is good, Loss getting higher as the training goes on is generally a really bad sign though. It should drop sharply in the beginning then consistently and slowly decrease less and less until it finishes training.

It's gone worse. The newer models like Flux may generate better looking images than previous models but are much more restrictive and less imaginative while at the same time needing higher hardware requirements to run. Adding to the problem is Nvidia not planning to make consumer-oriented AI-friendly graphics card.

Tl;dr There's no future for local AI image generation.
>>
>>102131955
if you are happy with your ui don't change it. Just saving you time when you are trying to move prompts between systems and needing to figure out what is going on.

if you want to move to the *incorrect comfy way* there is a node to correct it to A1111's method.

>>
whenever browsing Civitai images it seems like a big difference between Pony outputs and Flux outputs are just the wider range of colours used.

Does anyone know if samplers can be adjusted to produce a wider range of colours? Maybe Pony could match Flux in that regard.

Has anyone tried
 timestep_sampling shift --discrete_flow_shift 3.1582 --model_prediction_type raw --guidance_scale 1.0

But with a discrete flow shift of slightly less than 1? It seems to have the effect of training in features of a character without hurting the style of out outputs. Like you can train a character and prompt them for any genre you want.

Can someone give me a tl;dr on how loras work in web-ui-forge?
i click the lora and it gives me it in the top, then i define the standard tags from there? I'm so used to the online shit where I have drop downs and shit to add loras.
>>
>>102132826
There's no explanation for any of the Flux training settings that I could find. What I've figured out is that a guidance scale greater than 1 would start overcooking the model. Lower than 1 and the model would start undercooking.
>>
>>102131832
>>102132823
I like these for some reason but it's not unhinged enough for my tastes.
>>
>>102133087
You summon the LoRA and the strength through text in Forge and A1. Just prompt normally.
>>
>>102133175
so <lora_name:1> is just the prompt telling it to load the lora?
i am overthinking it then, thanks.
>>
>>102133194
Yes correct.
>>
>>102133087
there are triggers and strengths listed. You need to use these unless it explicitly says you don't.

*trigger word*, blah, blah prompt, blah, <lora_name:WEIGHT>

Replace the WEIGHT with what the website says. Fuck with the weight when it doesn't work.
>>
>>102133220
I know about the triggers from playing around with online stuff but I haven't touched weights much at all. I'll play around with those.

Does the order I put the <lora> tag in the prompt matter?
>>
Anyone using 3060 12GB on dev 20 - 30 steps? How fast is it?
>>
>>102133226
the <lora:X> doesn't matter
the order of the prompt can matter depending on your UI (mean normalization). I like the trigger at the start, it is equally valid at the end and anyone who tells you one way is universally better is talking out of their ass.

>>102133236
model, scheduler, literally everything dependent. You won't get a straight answer. Everything should be under a min for an image. If it isn't, your shit is broke.

not offloading anything to CPU or 2nd GPU or anything, just purely the the 12GB

No, you misunderstand the issue. We can make the assumption fairly safely that a lower quant will produce a worse image overall.

I think we have a good idea why, the speed increase on 2.5.0 is intentional, and that's a good thing on theory, who doesn't want speed increase. But to get that speed increase what did they do? They added some optimisations, and on some optimisations you have to sacrifise some image quality behind

I wish I knew, but I'm not a pytorch developper unfortunately, what we are 100% sure on is that their updates changed the outputs, and that we got speed increase aswell
>>
>>102135511
That's not an unreasonable thing to think, but we don't really know for sure what's happening. As far as my experience goes. Even if there is some kind of quality decrease, the speed improvements more than make up for it.

for me quality is more important but that's ok, I'll stick to 2.3.1 and you'll go for 2.5.0, that's what I love about options, everyone can be happy with their own

until 2.3.1 is deprecated and your favorite interfaces don't support it anymore

Now I'm wondering since when they went into that "change of output" update, it didn't start on 2.5.0 right?
