Um...but umm...haha...you told me 4chan wasnt a honeypot....eh...
>>
why would a professional business website use letsencrypt
>>
>>102207808
>US
>Google Trust Service
I thought 4chan moved to japan?
>>
>>102207808
They use whatever Cloudflare uses, and Cloudflare is currently using Google Trust Services.
>>
>>102207917
Why shouldn't they?
>>
>>102207808
https://developers.cloudflare.com/ssl/reference/certificate-authorities/
>>
>>102208026
let's encrypt its meant to be ran as a non profit of sorts. Even if its encryption is as secure which it might not be big companies are supposed to get a proper ssl certificate just like they're supposed to use redhat linux on their servers if they use linux.
>>
>>102208122
>a proper ssl certificate
The only thing that matters is whether users have the root installed.

i don't think 4chan has ever been hosted or owned outside of america, even the LLC is still registered to an american address
>>
>>102208122
Let's Encrypt welcomes commercial users to use their service.
>>
>>102207808
Not my problem.
>>
It's over, for real this time.
>>
>>102209171
it is most definitely your problem
>>
>>102207808
it's been google for fucking ever, this is not a HABBNIN'
>>
Basically all nigger scam website use letsencrypt
>>
>>102209544
So, basically you're saying I'm a nigger? And that you want to kill and behead me and display my head in the town square? Is that what you're saying right now?
>>
Probably has something to do with the current case going on
>>
>>102209580
Yes, that's correct.
>>
>>102209720
What if I told you, I was jewish as well? That I would call myself a follower of yahweh and that jesus was a false prophet? What would you do then?

are you retarded? this level of cuckoldry must be a troll

https was mistake
fuck the certificate jew
>>
>>102207808
I've wondered: Is it true that Cloudflare terminates https and reads all your data before passing it to the destination server? If so, isn't 90% of the internet a honeypot even with https, with Cloudflare saving every http post you ever sent?
>>
>>102210092
I'm talking about servers on websites that need layers of security upon layers of security. If they get breached they're either toast or have to pay a ransom. There's a reason why redhat is a huge corporation.
>>

>Is it true that Cloudflare terminates https and reads all your data before passing it to the destination server?
Of course, they wouldn't be able to provide their caching, minimisation, etc. services otherwise.
>>
>>102210234
Does the cert authority even matter, then, if you're essentially using naked http whenever you use a Cloudlare-served website?
>>
>>102210186
That's how all reverse proxies work
>>
>>102210286
It's still cloudflare's cert. Just signed by google.
>>
>>102207912
We literally said the opposite. You didn't post anything illegal did you?
>>
>>102210197
I'd rather use OpenBSD for mission critical or sensitive systems. But I'm just some chud on 4chan what do I know?
>>
>>102210471
and who are you going to blame if something goes wrong?
>>
>>102210508
I'd take responsibility? You'd have to really mess something up to make OpenBSD insecure.

Let's agree to disagree. openbsd has had cve's openssh as well. my current website is hosted in ubuntu but its not a large ecommerce site. There's also been uptick in ransomware attacks and asking ransom. Trust should be given sparingly.

>>
>>102209544
Why wouldn't they? Only corporations pay for certs.
>>
>>102210286
When you are using a cloudflare based website just think to yourself "Do I trust cloudflare with the information I am providing to this site?" Hopefully the operator of the website is not stupid and using http with clouflare proxying it as SSL, that can still be done. But in every case you're trusting cloudflare.
>>
Cloudflare destroyed the internet.
>>
>>102211603
If the answer is no, my option is to just not use the internet except for tor sites and Kiwi Farms?
>>
It's joever
