I've had a Xiaomi Pocaphone since 2018. Sometimes the display becomes really slow, but it works fine again in a bit. I use it for listening to music and for basic apps and it works fine for that.
Except for the battery life, if I use it actively the battery drains quickly, even if I'm just listening to music. But if I go on longer trips I take a powerbank with me anyway.
I've noticed a lot of complaints with Xiaomi and MIUI, and while I've had some problems when it updated it didn't really bother me.
Overall as my first smartphone it's been very solid.

a25 has better specs and i cant find a good listing for 8gb or above online that doesnt look very sketchy for Canada
but a15 is so much more laggy going off of reviews, and it doesnt seem that good sincd everything about it is so slow, cheapest but i play games on my phone so it seems kinda bad

a35 looks pretty good but its very expensive and doesnt have a headphone jack, and i can find a few just ok listings but I'm very iffy on it
