A long time ago there was the Nexus line that many of you were probably familiar with. Cheap, good specs, but most of all supreme software and modding support. What is the modern *cheap* equivalent to this? I'm using an ancient HTC M10 right now, I'm actually ok with the hardware and performance but I'm getting left behind in terms of newer software support so I tried looking for a custom rom yesterday and EVERYTHING SUCKS. Everything has all sort of undocumented bugs that never got fixed. I'm pretty much stuck with stock for the time being.I know the Pixel line is the supposed succesor, but I cannot find a Pixel that is either cheap or non-amoled, or that isn't a pain in the ass to replace the battery.I don't care much about specs or performance as my current htc is fine for my needs, but it has to preferably be actually compatible (as in bug-free and ideally untouched by jeetware) with newer android versions.
I asked this yesterday and didn't get much help, so I'll ask again incase someone can help me.I'm not allowed a camera phone at work. We used to be allowed to remove the camera and bring in any phone, but now that's "a security risk" too. So we need phones without them entirely.
