Which one is better?

davinci is a bit less intuitive to use imho, but at least it doesn't give your computer adobe cancer, and there's a free version
if you just need basic shit done, davinci is the way to go

DaVinci Resolve's color tools are industry standard in Hollywood.

Any of the Big 4 are great, really just depends on what you're familiar with.

I agree, unknown logo with random image name that I refuse to reverse image search truly is the best!

Heard good things about it.
It's still in alpha. Kdenlive is painful to use, openshot is too basic, hope Olive editor is able to solve this.

Davinci Resolve hands down. Premier Pro is mid at Best. You need After Effects to get anything else done. Want to render need a separate program. What a joke. Don't even compare the two.

I wish the free tier supported h264 on Linux, without that I can't even properly try it out. But at least on paper I support their pricing model

DaVinki because loonix support

premiere pro + after effects can be an extremely powerful workflow if you can keep them from crashing every 20 minutes. davinci resolve is more limited, meaning any kind of advance motion graphics is going to involve a bit of creative manipulation of the tools. but it can be done just as well in davinci. the reliability of davinici resolve even when working with 6K video files in fucking arch linux with DWM is insane. had some predictable crashing when doing 3D in fusion under certain circumstances, but i quickly worked around it. i like davinci resolve! too bad a decade of assets and shell scripts keep me using premiere pro.

v0.1 of Olive imo was better. They literally paused feature updates to spend years rewriting the code base to come out with an inferior version. Despite this, it along with Cinelerra-GG have the most potential as far as a FOSS video editor on Linux or BSD. KDenLive is becoming more stable but still buggy and unintuitive at times, OpenShot is too basic and lacks any advanced features. Shotcut is stable but has a terrible workflow and missing a few key features.

>I wish the free tier supported h264 on Linux,
Linux version sucks either way. No AAC and no VST support.

I wish fusion was better as a nuke alternative. Adobe may give your computer cancer but the foundry will give it AIDS

Unless you pirate it, everything is better than adobe crap.
