>ruins your expensive monitor
It's the year 2077-53 and manufacturers still don't know how to make non defective screens
>>
you have autism if dead pixels bother you
>>
My 4:3 is still going strong after 12 years
>>
>>102416651
Just ignore them.
>>
Erm, the manufacturers say it's within spec, therefore you will not be getting a warranty repair
Yes it's defective no we won't honor your warranty.
Yes we also determine what the spec is.

>Oh no 0.002mm of my display are bad, it's ruined!

the human eye can't even see up to 200 dead pixels per monitor
>>
>>102416667
said autism often rewards you with a refund or replacement.
>>
>buy new car
>it gets delivered covered in scratches and dents and missing parts
>BUT IT STILL WORKS WHY DO YOU CARE
>>
>>102417932
This but unironically
>>
>>102416667
You have autism if you post here.
>>
>>102418019
I see faces...
>>
>>102418218
except it is just one miniscule scratch
>>
you know what never had dead pixels?

CRTs
>>
>>102416667
If i'm paying hundreds of dollars on a monitor, it should be perfect with no obvious defects.
>>
>>102418544
You say that like it’s a lot of money. Are you poor?
>>
>>102418359
A scratch that cannot be fixed no matter what you try, you either replace the car or live with it.
>>
>>102416651
Another reason why CRTs are superior.....

Vertical lines stuck in one color are by far worse than dead pixels.

thats an insect (probably booklouse) thats crawled inbetween the layers of the display because the retard manufacture didn't seal the edges of the panel properly. you can tell because the darkness looks like its blotching/squishing out of the pixels and not a solid grid like the working pixels
>t. know the pain because an amazon warehouse monitor i paid £1300 for has a few inside it (used a 5x macro lens to see them)
>>
>>102416651
Instagram has 1000 x 1000 pixels and no one gives a shit

They're trying to squeeze every gaymer dollar they can, I mean, don't you remember Gamergate?
>>
>>102416667
Go suck on billion dollar companies more, I dare you
>>
>>102416651
What makes you think they don't know?
>>
>>102416651
Looks like a bug not a dead pixel. As long as you don't squish it you can use vibration to move it over to the edge of the screen where you wont see it.
>>
>>102419146
I think he's trying to say that you should buy monitors in bulk so that you could sift through them to find the one undamaged monitor and then throw away the rest.
>>
>>102419238
How do you deal with those? Do you wait for them to dry out before trying to move them with some kind of vibrator?

ngmi
>>
>>102418218
Teslas are like that and people keep buying them.
>>
I've never had a dead pixel
how common are they?
>>
>>102420378
you're not looking close enough.
>>
>>102416651
Presence of partially visible pixels suggest it's a piece of crap stuck between the light spreader and the panel. Possibly a bug that crawled in there and died.
>>
>>102420401
last time I looked close enough I saw an extra
well
it wasn't a pixel because it was a crt but there was an extra "pixel" on my display
>>
>>102418325
You have autism.
>>
>>102416651
Ignore the naysayers, they are likely to be envious thinkpad idiots.
Get a refund, if the shop has a dead pixel warranty buy it.
>>102420410
It could also be oxidation.
>>
>>102416651
I haven't seen one since 2010
>>
>>102420165
you can try toothbrushes/phone vibrators but if you squish them (which you probably would have if you think its a dead pixel because of that remedy to rub dead ones to come back to life) you're fucked and they'll never come out without opening the panel
