why not just run them in a VM?
>>
microsoft 365 is good enough don't know about the other 3

FineReader and Word works. I don't know about the other 2. If you look for a distribution try Fedora. If you don't like the desktop use the KDE spin. It looks like Windows and just works.

didn't think about it. Which VM?

thx. I don't mind the distro or desktop, but should not demand core attention for every action every other minute. Shouldn't be retard-friendly either.
MemoQ and Trados are on C sharp and use net framework.

virtualbox works just fine for running small random windows programs.
I will occasionally open one up to run sketchup or forex. Just setup a windows 10 VM and dont put a key in.

libreoffice is also pretty good as a replacement for word and excel.
only thing that isnt really replicated well is powerpoint.

I don't see either on winehq but .net is a part of winetricks and wincfg so you can give it a test and see if it works. It might but it might also give unexpected crashes.

Well thanks. I will dual boot sometime and try it.

Which distro properly supports wine? Would plain Debian work?

debian has outdated packages and might give you issues with non proprietary drivers. There's linux mint but it doesn't have snaps. Most of the time that's not a problem but I did come across a time when I needed a specific version of blende that could only be installed via snaps.

thanks anon. I'm into photogrammetry but I dont think it could be a problem on snaps if I use mint. What desktop either then?

well mint is good
