Does anyone know how much telemetry those AOSP based dumb phones have? I mainly just want to know whether or not they record all conversations had within earshot of them like Android phones do.
>>
>>102430901
everything comes for Taiwan and US and EU tracks your activity
>>
>>102430923
I don't care about location tracking, I just don't want an always on listening device broadcasting my conversations back to ad agencies.
>>
>>102430901
>AOSP based dumb phones
Doesn't exist
>>
>>102430963
wiretapping is done at the tower your phone connects to, not in your device, Osama
>>
>>102431004
Most of these https://www.verizon.com/basic-phones/ are AOSP based. The only ones that aren't are KaiOS, but they're a few years old.
>>
>>102431050
Not wiretapping, I'm talking about software accessing the microphone while its not in a call. I know Android does it because I keep getting served ads related to conversations I just had. Not conversations over the phone, but ones had in person while the phone is in my pocket.
>>
>>102431096
Uninstall Google Play services
>>
>>102431150
The only way to do that is to flash a custom ROM, none of which are available for AOSP flip phones.
>>
>>102431066
Calling something a dumb phone solely because it doesn't have easy access to apps is idiotic. Dumb phones should be incapable of general computing as that is where most security and privacy problems arise from
>>
>>102431182
Guess it's all ogre then, gotta buy a smartphone.

I'm just using "dumb phones" in the generic "anything that's not a glass slab" sense. I don't care about phone addiction or minimalism. All I want is a small cheap phone that doesn't act as a listening device for ad agencies.

As a side note, I don't think anything fitting your definition has existed since the late 90s, since basically every phone since has been programmable, meaning it can be made to do anything by a competent programmer.

>All I want is a small cheap phone that doesn't act as a listening device for ad agencies.
Just install a custom rom then
>>
>>102430923
they might explode on demands as well.
>>
>>102431514
nope they were discrete explosives added to the devices, unless you think a 1.5v battery can explode like a gram of c4
>>
>>102431453
There are no small cheap phones which have custom ROMs. There's one small phone with custom ROMs. There's plenty of small cheap phones. Plenty of cheap big phones with custom roms. None with all three.
>>
>>102430901
I don't trust them.
>>
>>102431661
Just get an older used phone or a pinephone
>>
>>102431699
None of those are small. All the small used phones are 3g and completely unusable now.

>>
>>102430963
not only it's listening 24/7 it listens when there is no connection, it stores the conversion and uploads it to the mossad when there is connection, it even listens when the phone is tuned off
>>
>>102431752
you dumb fuck if privacy is your main priority use a older bigger Nokia phone from 2002
>>
>>102432134
Read my post you stupid nigger. Any non 2g or 3g phone WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE. The networks shut down.
>>
>>102432194
*Any 2g or 3g phone will not work
>>
>>102431182
Can't you uninstall using ADB?
Of course you'd still have to worry about manufacturing software if you're going full schizo but that should take care of it.
>>
>>102431066
If device rootable, Kaios/firefoxos will be easier to remove any telemetry from. Simple platform.
>>
>>102431752
There are no good small phones anymore. We all just have to accept that there never will be any compact phones again. Even Apple finds them non-viable and discontinued them years ago. It's over for compact shit.
>>
>>102430901
You'd be better off purchasing a GSMK Cryptophone signed sealed and delivered from Germany. Worlds most secure phones bar none. At least the only major commercial option that's worth a damn. That would be 2.5 K however, so it helps to be made of money. I'm slim Pickens so I gotta struggle fighting mass survelliance with what I got like a poor fag
At least the human brain is more powerful than any computer on Earth
>>
>>102432082
What is the capacity that allows this? Is there any conceivable way to write software that could disable the camera and microphone hardware controller? There's no reason someone with an advanced knowledge of Xcode couldn't type out an iOS app and side load it to fight this fascism. It's only right to explore all options, this is war at the highest intellectual level we are dealing with here

We're reaching a point where the paradigm should shift. Dumbphones should just be dumb terminals that can remotely connect to servers you own in order to access communication networks like XMPP or a VoIP compatible service provider.
>>
>>102438386
>We're reaching a point where the paradigm should shift
Or we could just not muddy our terms and say 'I don't use messaging apps' or 'I only use SMS but you can call me anytime'
>>
>>102431096
the mic (and often also the gps and camera) is hardwired to the baseband radio, which stays on even when the phone is "turned off", there is no way to escape it without hardware switches

Is it true that all of you phone conversations, SMS and network traffic is recorded and archived by the ISP or secret services?

What you want is called a (unlocked) "kosher phone" (yes, really).

No telemetry, GPS, etc....

You'll find them on Ebay or in shops in Jewish neighborhoods. If you're a Goy, you'll have to go with Ebay (obviously).

You'll have to do your own research online if this is what you need.

Really ? Do they not sell to goys ? What are they going to do check if you have foreskin or something
