Can anyone become a hacker in 2024? With Kali? I think it's a meme really. Doesn't it need more skill than just watching a few youtube videos?

Work hard study, gain knowledge and experience then of course you can.

being a hacker means being more clever than the people on blue teams. who often have years of experience and are following industry standard blueprints for security best practices. at least if you want to hack an organization. to hack people on private LANs you basically have to phish them. to hack ordinary people over public wifi its pretty easy.
