>he paid the status tax just to neofetch his 4090

I get laid because of my 7800xt. They notice the glowing "Radeon" and assume my dick is huge, but you wouldn't know about that...you're just a trendchaser paypiggy who wants to impress 13 year olds

t. retard that doesn't have a 4090
>>
>>102448300
its just cope propaganda from poorfags and noobs
and its mostly user error anyway like using bootleg connectors or installing it wrong by not pushing the cable all the way in.
actually the real problem is that the 4090 is too sophisticated for the average Person.
it takes a lot to install and set up right and you can easily fuck it up if you arent careful.

but if you arent a noob and know what you are doing a 4090 is actually a great card.

Nah, 4090 is hardly the worse. It is okay. The problem is that 12VHPWR was literately rushed to the market without serious QC and testing. Nvidia practically bribed PCI-SGI to cram it into their ATX 3.0 spec.
The revised ATX12V 2x6 is what it should been from the start.

That connector is the worst ever made. Honestly they should have just made it the size of a ATX motherboard connector, instead they're trying to draw 500+ watts through enough wire only rated for like 250 watts.

Tech makers are retarded on purpose.

>>
>>102449599
Yeah, thicker gauge wire with less pins would have worked too. The whole ATX12V was cursed from the day it was conceptualized. It's like they didn't plan for people to bend it at 90 degree angles further increasing the electrical resistance either because the adapters are the stiffest pieces of shit ever.

There was no real planning or forethought that went into it.
>>
>>102449599
Pic rel has cables as thick as your dick.

4090 isn't the first stop-loss program for faulty data center hardware sold at a discount.
It won't be the last.
>>
>>102449561
THE ACTUAL WIRE WASNT THE ISSUE YOU FUCKING RETARD

The gauge is fine for the load, it doesn't even heat up as PROVEN by reputable testers

it was the goddamn connector itself having such ridiculously tight tolerances on being fully seated and causing arcing

The cards are burning themselves out because they don't work properly on PCIE3 motherboards or ATX 2.0 power supplies. The problem is, that's what everyone has, and it's not worth upgrading to some meme shift PSU that requires asinine cable management on cases like the H9 Flow that also runs the risk of a loose cable causing a fire or something similarly catastrophic. The 4090 killing itself wouldn't be so bad if the rest of their cards weren't so violently gimped (4080 only has 16GB VRAM, 4070 is 192-bit, 4060 is 128-bit (lol) and only has 288 GB/s memory bandwidth, etc.). There needs to be a mass boycott on GPUs. A statement from the gaming community that firmly says we don't need more than a 3060 (256-bit btw) for 4K.

>no houses being burned down
>no CPU crashing

In nearly every case (literally) it was some fuckstick retard installing the cable wrong. Whether it was the base one, the adapater, or the 90 degree one.

Imagine being a boomer and taunting 18 years old kids in a forum for not spending 2 grand on an overpriced piece of tech like yourself.
I bought the 3080 when it came out, but you are just showing how mentally undeveloped you are with your behavior.
>>
>>102449654
If you think 12HPWR is not the most unwield unflexible piece of shit ever made then you've never handled one. XT is just fine in comparison.
>>102453212
The cable needs to bend in lots of cases. If you can't bend it safely or have to used an adapter (which is not recommended) then it's not fit for purpose. They could have used any other tried and true connector. They just had to make it a piece of shit.
