Y'all joke but doctors really do tell smokers who otherwise refuse to quit while pregnant that 2-3 cigarettes is a maximum to prevent serious damage. No modern doctor would say smoking is fine like they would in the 1970s or that starting smoking is recommended while pregnant, but people screeching over this are ignoring the presumed search intent of the Googler: a smoker who needs an answer.
