At this point I actually want them to shill it. I genuinely want to know why we need yet another Chromium fork.

>Is their browser extension a placebo?
Redundant with uBO and they were caught whitelisting Microsoft trackers
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/08/microsoft-trackers-run-afoul-of-duckduckgo-get-added-to-blocklist/
>And their browser app?
Inferior to just about any other privacy browser (Firefox, Cromite, Brave, etc.)
>>
I just use the search engine occasionally just to get different results and that's it, I don't expect to be "tracked" less in this day and age
>>
its not really a privacy browser. i dont know what it is, or who its for

Stopped using them for anything after their CEO, Gabriel Weinberg, went full Slava Ukrani and vowed to modify their search results to weed out wrong think. When confronted, the CEO said they only promised their users privacy, not free speech, and that they have always censored results. Switched to yandex.com, it's the closest thing to old Google.

yes
> And their browser app?
it's a dogshit chromium clone with almost no features
>>
it's all trash m8

thx. I will look into yandex.
I tried searX in the past but gave dogshit results.
>>
>>102456230
Brave's search engine search.brave.com also works fine for me, I like their AI option. But when I need raw results for piracy and porn, yandex.com works best.
>>
>>102456285
also isnt yandex russian spyware?
>>
>>102454457
That shit gives like one page of semi-relevenant resources and then start giving dogshit based on your ip that's has literally nothing to do with what you searched for. The absolute state of search engines.
>>
>>102456291
Are you planning to move to Russia? If not, why would you prefer Google and every US intelligence agency know you are searching for Thai ladyboys? Someone is getting your data, better to give it to the group with the least amount of influence over your life. Putin doesn't care I jerked off to Long Mint last night.

I just downloaded the app for iOS because i cant set it as search engine and its fucking bloated omg
