I only care about high-paying jobs and securing a good career for myselfShould I learn JavaScript, Java, C#, or something else? I know Python, SQL and HTML/CSS (if that's even worth mentioning) already. Also, should I focus on web stuff, or on data/ML?

>>102454675Complete waste of time. I use macOS, it just works
>>102454661Figure it out for yourself, idiot. You think other people are going to tell you how to get a good job?
>>102454661Java should qualify you for the best jobs but you have to be good at it.
>>102454699I've already narrowed it down. Right now it seems like JS + React is the most valuable skill to have, followed by Java and C# because those have the most amount of jobs. C, C++, and other such langs have a higher barrier to entry while having fewer jobs and actually lower salaries on average, thus a bad idea. More niche stuff like Erlang, Clojure or whatever might have some high paying jobs out there but there are so few of them that they're not worth taking into account. However, I'm still not sure about data vs web/backend programming career-wise.
just search jobs on linkedin and then learn that
>>102454704>the best jobsSalary-wise? Java is mostly backend enterprise dev from what I've seen
>>102454735OP is a retard with zero coding skill.
>>102454767Java is literally the worst programming language in the world.ANYONE who codes in Java professionally is an absolute piece of shit and should not be breathing air.
>>102454785Since some dude on /g/ is saying this, I take it that it means Java is a great professional investment and learning it is a very good idea.
>>102454809Old java is garbage which is what you will mostly work with, and tech debt.
>>102454863>Old java is garbageSo are JS, Python, etcBut nobody is going to pay me to write Haskell or whatever. So it doesn't matter
>>102454661PHP is making a massive comeback. It's going to suck because I'm so comfy doing backend web dev but... jobs
