>Why is it so hard to make humanoid stand up with AI?
The humanoid is likely a lazy gen-z that has given up on life. Give it a good reason to stand up.

I was going to say, would you have any motivation to stand on an empty infinite chess plane? There's your problem, there is no problem, so make a problem and infuse the creature with spite

Millenial cope so soon in this thread

Standing and walking/running are actually very physically complicated processes and it's only through millions of generations of evolution that you and I can do it well.
You should be very impressed that you can walk around without much conscious thought.
>>
There's basically no reason to stand up. Most animals that can afford it just crawl. Four legs is more efficient.
Look into the reasons bipeds evolved to walk on two legs. Meerkats go biped when they want a higher field of view to avoid predators. Monkeys go biped to free their hands to use tools or navigate trees.
Humans are persistence hunters. Bipeds are actually more energy efficient on long term (plus we can sweat so we dont have to stop and rest except to sleep, you can actually walk forever without stopping.)
Give it a reason to stand up.

Why is it so hard to stand up every morning?

>simulate an environment where you dont need to stand up
>"why dont you stand up"
Do you think theres a little guy inside your computer, you retarded nigger?
>>
>>102472698
The environment they're simulating has a need to stand up. In fact, it's the only need. Standing up is the reason the environment exists. And the program can't do it.

>environment has only one very generic reward condition
>model cant reach it after six gorillion epochs
>"this must be an issue with the model"
you don't know how AI works and probably shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a computer for the foreseeable future.
If it was as easy as slapping a guy onto a blank environment and proompting "walk upright" we would've had self-driving cars by 2015.

Its 2024 and you just posted a 640*640 video

Optimizing several different processes, movement of one leg, the movement of another, weight shifting, even if all processes but one are perfectly optimized, the one that isn't will make your person fall down. Check out the papers by Jeff Clune

your spinal cord and brain have been programmed for hundreds of thousands of years to be able to walk and run as perfectly as you do now. ai isn't even two centuries old

This is what americans believe
