2TB drives are currently the sweetspot for $/TB. Among the many sub-$100 models the Silicon Power A60 seems to be the best with a 5-Year Warranty (same as Samsung's) and 1200 TBW of endurance

still what's the point of making the masses (goyim) buying 5500, 5600 etc if they are locked with a520 or even a320? In that regard I doubt intel will lose with their e-core strategy

Its working as intended. The only fix is to give their products more p-cores so that there's a lower chance of threads getting scheduled on the e-cores. Funnily enough, there are cases where the 13700k outperforms the 13900k because its p-core to e-core ratio is more favorable

Thread Director is pretty dumb
It'd allocate threads to 8 p-cores followed by 1 core in each e-core cluster, then the remaining e-cores, and lastly to the 8 p-core hyperthreads
In 13th/14th gen, those e-cores are dead weight outside of embarrassingly parallel tasks (rendering) and will cause a performance regression over just running it on the p-core hyperthreads

You have to understand that AIO have a lifespan and that once they die you have to buy another one. For CPU cooler towers all you really need to replace are the fans.

With that said, Deepcool and Thermalright makes cheap AIOs. They're good for the price. I am currently using Thermalright Frozen Notte.

be careful trying 3800 though as many chips have the "1900 FCLK" hole where the system refuses to boot and you have to reset the CMOS to make your system work again

for context i game on a 4k 65" 144hz tv, but i usually game at 1080p because my laptop isn't very strong. i'd like to start with something that i can use at 1080p/144hz then upgrade to 4k 144hz capable

>>
>>102815029
any nvme drive will work because its forward and backwards compatible, four lanes of pcie through an m.2 connector.
the model depends on your local market, here in Australia the KC3000 is the sweet spot for price/speed. in the US its the SN850X

MX500, but bigger, if you want SATA
SN850X or 990 Pro if M.2 and it holds something important

why do people care so much about a bios/osd menu being easy to navigate or a case being easy to build in?
sure its a nicety but people seem to put a lot of weight into these factors when choosing a product which just seems very odd to me.
do people actually navigate the monitor osd/mobo bios more than a handful of times when first setting it up? checking it every week for the next 5 years?
are you building a new pc inside the case every few months or something?

If it can run on Windows, it can run on WINE or VM in Linux. You're just a retard pretending to be smart.
>>
>>102817164
>VM in Linux
This will work, but not on shitty laptops like x270.
>>
>>102817132
The first program I checked apparently can only run on an emulator but even then people have issues getting it to work
So yeah, I'm not too hopeful everything I use could run on linux

(It was Winauth and yes apparently there's a linux alternative, but why switch what's been working great for me)
>>
>>102817164
>it can run on WINE
Thinking this cope is anywhere near 100% compatible is beyond retard tier
>VM in Linux
Ah yes a VM, surely this will allow me to use my new hardware to its full potential.

i see. i have transferred os files to it too, yeah. these are the temps while also allowing the gpu to go with uncapped fps and constantly swapping maps in monster hunter world to stress the drive as much as i can, so i suppose the temps are fine then.
as a side note: it is running only in gen3 pcie because of old b450 mobo/5800x3d combo, but i guess that when ill swap to something that'll have gen4 and ungimp the drive read/write speeds the temps will rise. i'll leave that issue for future me.

>You're just a retard pretending to be smart.
Nein, I'm just retarded. Wine is good but it can't run everything. Anything DRM is not going to work though.

While I'm not saying this is the case for YOUR ssd, some anon a while back mentioned that some SSDs will have the controller heat up the same regardless of if it's in a gen3 pcie or a gen4/5 pcie because they didn't account for it or whatever and it's effectively trying to run the same despite not being able to put through the same speeds

What is the white poor man's neet approved build:

Ryzen 8600G + some shit B650M or I5 12400 + a real good B760M mobo?
considering that a video card is not needed, is Ryzen 7 5700G even worth it today?

I'm buying a used and supposedly "repaired" X570 motherboard for dirt cheap. Seller lives within walking distance and has agreed to a one week no questions asked return policy, what can I do to thoroughly test the board's functionality and stability during this time? Is 24h of stress testing enough? Heading out to pick it up in a couple of hours.
>>
>>102817467
Run some benchmarks, if it passes, I think it should work.

what is the quintessential gaymen monitor? should one just take 1440p 480hz and hzmaxx with the PG27AQDP?
will the lack of glossy coating and qdoled and 4k res be missing, as such should one go for the PG32UCDM instead?
or is the price too high and should one just get the AW3225QF and cope with the curve to save money?
I guess 144hz OLED Tvs are genuinely too slow now a days to reach gaming nirvana
I've heard people return the matte woleds instantly due to them being inferior to qdoleds and other hzcopers who play fps all day enjoy them, I can't make up my mind

TLDR the eternal battle of res vs hzmaxxing

Brehs, I was speaking with someone, the guy said heavy air cooler could bend the motherboard, is it true? I want to put a ag620 on my x870. He was try to sell me an aio, but I want an air cooler.
>>
>>102817770
As a poorfag, personally, I'd go for a 4k monitor if I had the money, not because of 4K reasons, but because I think a lot of content is still at 1080p, which will look noticeably worse on a 1440p monitor than a 1080p or 4k monitor. As long as 1080p is the default, I think I'd lean more on that side, and I feel like the next step for media is 4k, not 1440p anyway, so then you get fucked again at 1440p

If you only care about gaming, I'd go 1440p though.
Also hz past 240 sounds like gigacope
>>
>>102817794
It's true. But not enough to be noticeable. Cooler needs to be super heavy and it would take years before it bends.

>>
>>102817794
>heavy air cooler could bend the motherboard, is it true?
sure if you transport it and have it mounted and the entire case gets thrown around
this is why shipped prebuilt pcs are mostly aio's

>>102817799
ofc media consoomption will look better on a higher ppi 4k, web browsing too, everything, except pure smoothness
>If you only care about gaming, I'd go 1440p though.
that is the point of missing out on 240hz extra hz and coping every time playing comp games
>Also hz past 240 sounds like gigacope
and so was 144hz and so on.... regardless it is more clarity in motion and less stutterstepping
you also have 360hz qdoled.... but i dont wanna msis garbage
really wanna try those monitors next to each other
maybe I will later

I've already seen this when it dropped
early 360hz ips panels were slow because they were just that, ips panels
240hz tn was faster
now we have 480hz oled at 1440p, which is clearly faster than 240hz oled
540+hz strobed or not TN is clearer than 240hz oled for sure
still I don't know
I really wish some fucking place demoed these panels irl instead of having to spend 4k just to test monitors at home
maybe later....
