I wrote a molmo-based image captioner for flux dev lora training: https://huggingface.co/quarterturn/molmo-flux-captioner

There's a command-line version and a Gradio version. Molmo can describe nudity, and is overall much better than Florence2 at describing a scene. Note that I use molmo at bf16, you may wish to go to q8 if you have less VRAM, though accuracy may suffer.

yeh it can be any of those things, but really it's flux itself, you can see in the previews as it gens more complex scenes that it's creating grids and bands and for whatever reason some of them dont get denoised out
sometimes it's barely noticeable too

Is there a trick to using illustrious? It ALMOST looks good, but it's not quite there.

I was only playing with the very briefly yesterday so I don't have deeply informed insights. illustriousXL_smoothftSPO seems a bit cleaner to me over the base model. I tried NoobAI a bit as well and it seemed decent for characters but I could NOT get it to draw backgrounds at all. I think you could try asking /hdg/ because my understanding is they've explored illustrious a lot. it hasn't been used too much here

I definitely intended to animate the screen as well. It was masked separately and had it's own set of ksamplers. The idea was a repetitive motion on the screen while the wax slowly melts. I thought it would be fun to try, but perhaps it didn't translate. Here's one with just the lava lamp. This time it's twice as fast as the previous one.
