I have 12gb vram and had the same problem with full flux dev. if you look at your cuda graph, you might seem it sawtoothing as it swaps out layers. there's lots of quantized versions of flux though that fit much better into a 12gb card.

I use humu_v1 and v2 but deliberate and some others also work well for animations.
Check the basic workflow on the linked project page and see if you can get a basic animation setup going. The videos in the grid I posted had 28 frames generated with animatediff, then interpolated 4x.
The newer models are more technically capable but they don't have the variety in styles that either 1.5 or XL had.
Flux runs fine on a 3090.

You know how FaceApp when it still existed was able to gender swap, or change age, or change race of a face and still have it stay recognizably that specific face? For instance that one guy who kept trolling people on twitter with "and this is how you would look if you were black or chinese!"?

I want to get stable diffusion to do that.
Start with a face, alter the face based on a prompt, but keep it recognizably that same face instead of generating a brand new one.

depends on what you're comfortable with. if you've used node-based software before like blender or something, comfyUI can be easy to pick up. if you're more in the market for a standard clicky-pointy app, forge is a better option. if you want the lowest barrier to entry, the beginner UIs are OK but you'll eventually graduate out of them
